Democrat New York Sen. Chuck Schumer fulfilled a lifelong power-grab dream when he took over his caucus leadership from Harry Reid.
The Senate Majority Leader has enjoyed his power and time on top.
But a new prediction from Scott Walker now has Schumer sweating bullets.
At the start of the year, the conditions looked ripe for Red Wave with the GOP sweeping through the November Midterms and coming away with majorities in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
However, as they’re known to do, establishment Republicans started trying to shoot the Party in the foot.
15 RINOs in the Senate voted with Democrats to compromise away Americans’ Second Amendment rights.
That’s when the tide began to turn.
Then Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) began to worry that Democrats would capitalize on the Supreme Court of the United States overturning Roe v. Wade, and turning abortions decisions back to the states.
Democrats lied about the ruling and fear-mongered to try and make “women’s health” the key issue of the election, so McConnell actually began actively discouraging the pro-Life grassroots the GOP needed to mobilize to win this year.
Meanwhile, the Democrats and Never-Trumper Republicans like Rep. Liz Cheney continued their never-ending witch hunt against Donald Trump and “Ultra MAGA Republicans,” tar-and-feathering them as “clear and present threats to democracy.”
For a while the plan from leftist leaders appeared to be working.
Their allies in Big Media began singing the chorus of the “Democrat comeback,” narrative.
But as the economy under Biden continues to erode, crime under Democrats continues to surge, our U.S. southern border continues to be invaded, parental rights continue to be under attack and students continue to be targeted in the classroom – voters are beginning to refocus on the issues that truly matter most.
The GOP has regained the momentum and now the results of the Midterms are too close to call.
However, former Republican Governor of Wisconsin – and a one-time Presidential candidate – Scott Walker is placing his bet on where the GOP will stand after Tuesday, November 8.
Walker, now the President of the Young America’s Foundation, wrote an op-ed for the Washington Times summarizing the status of some of the most competitive and consequential races across the country.
He focuses on gubernatorial contests, key House races, and battleground Senate campaigns.
Walker knows a thing or two about elections.
After first becoming the Chief Executive of America’s Dairyland, Walker implemented game-changing legislation that added freedom and economic security for citizens in the Badger State.
However, it didn’t sit well with Democrats, who tried to recall him.
But Walker survived the recall election and went on to win re-election as well – before finally falling just shy of a third term in 2018.
With his expertise and experience, the two-term governor is bullish on the GOP’s chances of sending Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Chuck Schumer packing to the minority in Congress.
“Many of us thought that the prospect of Republicans winning back the majority in the House of Representatives was pretty much a lock, but that doing the same in the Senate was less certain,” Walker wrote. “While it will be close, I am increasingly confident that the GOP will hold majorities in both chambers by January 2023.”
According to Walker, the key to Midterm GOP victories is sticking to the kitchen table issues voters care most about.
“The key is focusing on issues that matter to voters,” Walker wrote. “Getting spending under control to improve the economy and lower costs, restoring public safety in our neighborhoods and at the border, and empowering parents and families with choices in education.”
Americans will find out after November 8 if Walker’s prediction was on point.
