Even hinting at taking away leftists’ “right” to kill babies causes Democrats to come completely unglued.
Now an old chilling threat Chuck Schumer directed at members of the Supreme Court is playing out in front of our eyes.
A draft opinion written by Samuel Alito was leaked out of the Supreme Court.
It showed that the court has decided to overturn Roe v. Wade, which would allow individual states to decide to deal with the issue on their own.
And based on the response it seems obvious it was a Hail Mary play by a leftist court clerk who wanted to unleash as much pressure as possible to change the outcome before its law.
Democrats have been fearing—and apparently preparing—for this moment ever since Donald Trump appointed Justice Brett Kavanaugh to replace disappointing Republican appointee Anthony Kennedy.
As the Court shifted to better represent Americans, leftists have become increasingly nervous.
Two years ago, Chuck Schumer, then the Senate Minority Leader, lashed out at the Supreme Court issuing an insane threat should justices rule the “wrong way” on abortion.
“Inside the walls of this court, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments, as you know, for the first major abortion rights cases since Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Gorsuch came to the bench . . . I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price,” Schumer said. “You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
That shocking threat against members of the Court was so awful that Chief Justice John Roberts was forced to speak up.
“Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous,” Roberts wrote in a statement. “All Members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter.”
It was glaringly obvious that Schumer had crossed a line—so, under fire from his own party, he issued a half-hearted apology.
“I should not have used the words I used yesterday. They did not come out the way I intended to,” Schumer said. “I’m from Brooklyn. We use strong language.”
But since the Supreme Court leak, radical leftists all over the nation have been making good on Schumer’s original dark promise.
In blue cities across the country protestors are storming college campuses and thugs have been vandalizing businesses along with public property.
Unhinged activists showed up in front of Justice Roberts and Alito’s houses chanting and drawing pink coat hangers in chalk on the street.
And Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s neighbor has been protesting outside his home with stalker-like focus.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration refuses to condemn the leak.
Their silence speaks to the way Democrats in power have set up the nation for an aggressive and lawless response to a legitimate conservative win.
