Jake Tapper has been on a tear ratcheting up his bitter rivalries in media and politics.
Fox News has been a favorite target for quite some time.
But after CNN’s Tapper took it to a new level with a top Fox host, you won’t believe where he took his conspiracy-fueled campaign against Trump and the GOP next.
The top hosts at CNN often accuse Fox News of spreading “right-wing conspiracies.”
CNN host Jake Tapper picked a fight with a big name at Fox News in recent weeks as an excuse to spread his conspiracy-fueled campaign against Trump and the GOP.
In a recent interview with POLITICO Playbook, CNN’s Jake Tapper explained his reasoning for refusing to book any Republican on his show who objected to the outcome of the 2020 elections.
Tapper claims his reasoning for doing so is because he could not trust any Republican who “lied” about the 2020 election to tell the truth to his viewers.
However, Playbook asked Fox News’ Chris Wallace, one of the most liberal hosts on the entire network, what he thought about Tapper refusing to allow any Republican who objected to the outcome of the 2020 elections to appear on his program.
“I don’t think moral posturing goes well with news gathering,” Wallace told us in a statement, adding: “There are plenty of people I would like to have on Fox News Sunday that voted to challenge the election — House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy for one. And I don’t have any rule about what the first question has to be. I have asked plenty of guests about voting to challenge the election and about Trump’s role in the January 6th insurrection. But I cover the news, wherever that takes me,” Wallace told Playbook.
In response to Wallace calling his stance “moral posturing,” Jake Tapper justified his position by calling any objection to the 2020 election an outright attack on Democracy.
“This isn’t a policy, it’s a discussion I think everyone in the news media should be having. Should those who shared the election lie that incited the deadly attack on the Capitol and that continues to erode confidence in our democracy be invited onto our airwaves to continue to spread the Big Lie? Can our viewers count on these politicians to tell the truth about other topics? This isn’t an easy conversation for some folks – especially for journalists who work for organizations where the Big Lie was platformed – but that’s all the more reason to have this conversation,” Tapper snapped.
Of course, Tapper must have “forgotten” about all the Democrats who objected to the outcomes of the 2000, 2004 and 2016 elections when Republicans won given the fact that he still allows them to appear on his show.
Now, Tapper proved he’ll take any opportunity to spread his conspiracy-fueled campaign against Trump and the GOP.
On Sunday’s CNN program State of the Union., Tapper trained his fire on former Trump Vice President Mike Pence.
Tapper stated, “Mike Pence is no longer in a rational world.”
Following his recent speech to a New Hampshire GOP group, Pence softened his comments on not seeing “eye-to-eye” with Trump over January 6.
Tapper clearly wasn’t happy that Pence is growing weary of the leftwing media using him to further their ongoing obsession with Trump.
So the CNN talking head doubled down with Tapper claiming, “Mike Pence is no longer in a rational world.”
And Jake Tapper really showed his colors following up his swipe at Mike Pence by pushing New York Times “journalist” Maggie Haberman’s unsourced allegations that Trump told people close to him that he will soon be reinstated as President.
“An event where a mob tried to lynch you is not something any rational person would agree to agree with anyone on. And for what it’s worth, I do consider Mike Pence to be rational. But what’s happening is, that Mike Pence is no longer in a rational world. He’s trying to function and to thrive, frankly, in Donald Trump’s alternative universe,” began Tapper.
“And in this deranged place, not only was the election stolen — it wasn’t — but we learned from multiple reports in the last few days, led by The New York Times‘s Maggie Haberman, Trump actually believes he could be reinstated as president in August because of these unofficial and frankly fraudulent ballot audits going on in places such as Arizona,” concluded Tapper, spreading more unsourced allegations about Trump.
