Brian Stelter continues to be a thorn in the side of Trump and his supporters.
But this time, he took it a little too far.
CNN’s Brian Stelter is at it again, and this time he showed us a side of him we’ve never seen before.
The 2020 COVID lockdowns introduced America to a number of media personalities doing broadcasts from inside their homes.
Journalists went to great lengths, including renting furniture and book displays to impress the viewers.
Even though technology has come a long way, there are still limitations to filming from inside your home, and the reporters and anchors were only ever shown from the waist up.
As expected, they were always professionally dressed during their air time.
Well CNN, in their infinite wisdom, decided to run a segment they called “humanizing the news,” where viewers got to see inside many of these news personalities’ homes and get a behind-the-scenes look at their set-ups.
Most people are wishing CNN had never run this segment.
The segment featured Brian Stelter, host of Reliable Sources, recording a segment in his underwear and socks.
Why CNN and Stelter decided to air this is anyone’s guess.
Stelter is often called “Tater” because of his potatoesque physical appearance.
There is no doubt that anyone who sees this image will never be able to erase it from their mind.
From now on, everyone will think of Stelter in his underwear every time they see him.
Most argue the idea of news anchors and hosts working from home is likely to long outlast the pandemic.
TV shows have realized that with today’s technology, they can conduct interviews just as well from remote locations as they can by flying guests in to appear in the studio.
It is sure to cut down on costs.
The unfortunate part is that this is probably not the first news host we’re going to see in their underwear.
Let’s just hope it never goes any further than this.
