The Left’s newest racist scheme is Critical Race Theory.
That’s why parents are standing against it being taught to their children.
And CNN’s new attack on anti-Critical Race Theory parents will infuriate you.
Critical Race Theory can be hard to understand.
Not because it is complex at its core, but because the Left is doing everything they can to distort what it is actually about.
They know that if parents understand the goal of Critical Race Theory, they will stand up against the racist, anti-American ideas it pushes.
Crafted by Marxist academics, Critical Race Theory teaches that American and Western Civilization as a whole are rooted in racism and can only be corrected through programs promoting “equity.”
“Equity,” which is often confused with equality, is the exact opposite of what the United States and the West as a whole was built on.
In fact, equality is rejected in Critical Race Theory, and is considered to be “camouflage” for white supremacy and oppression.
And it has nothing to do with equal opportunity. Instead, “equity” is leftists’ noxious demand that government institutions enforce equal outcomes.
Of course, that’s an utterly impossible standard to meet.
But that’s by design.
Because it can’t be met, the Left can use “equity” to perpetually justify their discrimination against whatever race — but nearly exclusively white people today — or class they choose, just by claiming those people discriminating against others.
What that looks like in practice is described by UCLA law professor and critical race theorist Cheryl Harris, who pushes seizing land and wealth and redistributing it along racial lines.
Meanwhile, Ibram X. Kendi, a frequent CNN guest and a prominent pro-Critical Race Theory author, writes “the only remedy to racist discrimination is anti-racist discrimination.”
With guests like that frequenting the network, and viewers getting Critical Race Theory pushed at them whenever they they tune in, it isn’t surprising that CNN’s ratings have collapsed.
During a recent program, CNN correspondent, and frequent Antifa promoter, Elle Reeve ran a segment about parents opposing Critical Race Theory.
Instead of fairly covering and listening to the concerns from the parents, Reeve spoke of them condescendingly, arguing that because it is an academic theory, they aren’t smart enough to understand it.
Reeve was asked by CNN host Brianna Keilar, “So Elle, do these vocal opponents of critical race theory actually understand fully what it is?”
The CNN reporter responded:
“No, and why should they? It’s an academic theory mostly taught at the grad student level. But what they think it means is teaching white kids that all white people are bad and racist. And so of course they’re afraid of that.”
After playing montages of parents speaking emotionally about their concerns about Critical Race Theory at a school board meeting in Philadelphia, Reeve lectured:
“Critical race theory says racial inequality is perpetuated by the racism embedded in America’s laws. Not by individual bigotry. But relentless propaganda from some conservatives created a panic that white people and especially white children are under attack.”
So Reeve tries to argue that the promoters of the theory aren’t saying that it is about individuals being racist, but rather their entire country and society.
Trying to refute their concerns by arguing that Critical Race Theory only claims that America as a whole is racist isn’t a very convincing argument.
