Comedian Andrew Schulz just called out leftists for one sick double standard that proves where their priorities really lie

Charlie Kirk's assassination two months ago exposed something rotten in America's political culture.

Leftists across social media celebrated when the 31-year-old conservative activist was gunned down at Utah Valley University for his political views.

And comedian Andrew Schulz just called out leftists for one sick double standard that proves where their priorities really lie.

Schulz Exposes The Left's Twisted Moral Hierarchy

Comedian Andrew Schulz doesn't pull punches about political hypocrisy.

During Saturday's episode of The Brilliant Idiots podcast, Schulz pointed out something that should disturb every American who values human life.

"It's just funny to me that there are people that were happy Charlie Kirk got shot because they disagreed on opinions, and they're fighting for due process for people who are driving fentanyl into the fucking country," Schulz stated.¹

The observation hit like a freight train because it exposed the warped moral calculus driving leftist politics in 2025.

Leftists cheered when Kirk was murdered for his conservative views.

Teachers, academics, government employees, and countless social media users either celebrated the assassination or made jokes about Kirk's death.

One Texas State University student was expelled after posting a video mocking Kirk's murder, mimicking the assassination by slapping himself in the neck.²

A Middle Tennessee State University employee was fired after writing she had "ZERO sympathy" for Kirk's death.³

Dozens more lost their jobs or faced discipline for similar posts celebrating political violence against a conservative they disagreed with.

But those same leftists who applauded Kirk's murder suddenly discover principles about due process and human rights when the subject turns to fentanyl smugglers.

"Like, what the fuck do we live in?" Schulz asked. "Why do we have more humanity for people who are actually profiting off of killing Americans?"⁴

Charlamagne's Deflection

"I don't think Charlie Kirk should have been killed for, you know, his rhetoric. And I don't think that the people in these boats should be killed if they're smuggling drugs," Charlamagne said.⁵

Notice the rhetorical sleight of hand.

Charlamagne redefined the stakes by introducing a false equivalence wrapped in concern for due process.

Nobody suggested executing drug smugglers without trial.

The issue Schulz raised was about leftists showing more compassion for people who profit from killing Americans through fentanyl trafficking than for an American citizen murdered for his political views.

"I hate people trying to kill Americans," Schulz clarified. "So if you're trying to kill Charlie Kirk, or if you're trying to bring Fentanyl in here, I hate both of y'all."⁶

Schulz asked what the punishment should be for someone bringing fentanyl into the country.

Charlamagne's answer was telling: "I would think you just run down on them and fucking arrest them."⁷

Arrest them with due process and full legal protections.

The same legal considerations leftists denied Charlie Kirk when they celebrated his assassination.

The Pattern Reveals Leftist Priorities

This isn't an isolated case of leftist hypocrisy.

It's a pattern that reveals what the Left actually values versus what they claim to care about.

When a conservative activist gets murdered for his political beliefs, leftists either celebrate or make excuses about how his "rhetoric" caused his own death.

Over 15 people lost their jobs for celebrating or mocking Kirk's assassination on social media.⁸

A coordinated campaign exposed academics, teachers, and government employees who posted critical remarks about Kirk after his death.

Republican officials and far-right activists publicized people who allegedly celebrated the killing.

The backlash was swift and severe because Americans were disgusted by the response.

But when it comes to foreign nationals smuggling deadly drugs that kill over 70,000 Americans every year, suddenly the Left discovers concern for human rights and due process.

Fentanyl has become the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45.

Mexican cartels are flooding American communities with a drug so deadly that two milligrams can kill.

They're organized criminal enterprises deliberately poisoning Americans for profit.

Yet leftists show more sympathy for drug traffickers than for Charlie Kirk.

The explanation is simple.

Drug smugglers aren't challenging leftist orthodoxy on college campuses.

They're not exposing woke ideology or mobilizing young conservatives.

They're not threatening the Left's cultural power.

Charlie Kirk was doing all of those things, which made him a target.
