Congress has a brutal reality check for Joe Biden over this scam getting stopped cold

Joe Biden was banking on this one policy to be the centerpiece of his Presidential reign, but the plan was so egregiously wasteful and unrealistic that Congress has decided to pull the plug.

Former President Joe Biden was hoping to go down in history as the guy who could get things done.

But just weeks after departing the White House, he is still facing one crushing defeat after another.

And Congress has a brutal reality check for former President Joe Biden over this scam getting stopped cold.

Biden’s so-called “Bipartisan Infrastructure Law” faces chopping block

Former President Joe Biden spent his administration obsessing over forcing the country to accept a complete transition to electric vehicles (EV).

He famously announced the overly ambitious, and seemingly impossible, goal of installing a half million public EV charging stations across the country by 2030.

This was a part of his so-called “bipartisan infrastructure bill” that he was able to pass after teaming up with several RINO Senators, including former Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (RINO-KY), in 2021.

The bill was nothing more than a radical green energy Trojan Horse that pledged $1.2 trillion but included some minor infrastructure projects to sell the program to RINOs in the Senate.

$7.5 billion of funding in the bill was designated for the construction of charging stations for EVs accessible to the public.

But since the bill was signed by Biden in November of 2021, only eight of the 500,000 planned stations have been built.

Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) is now speaking the truth on the matter – that the proposal is nothing more than a green energy scam and has completely failed.

She has proposed a bill – titled the Unplug the Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Programs Act – to completely shutter the Biden-era program.

“Joe Biden’s green dreams short-circuited, and it is time to pull the plug,” announced Ernst after filing her bill. “The EV charger boondoggle is a textbook example of waste and inefficiency that needs to be eliminated.”

“Instead of spending hundreds of millions per charging station, I am doing something truly revolutionary in Washington – putting taxpayers first,” she continued.

The Trump administration made it clear that they would not dedicate any more time, money, or effort towards the scam and placed a pause on the program for further review.

But Senator Ernst is ready to say goodbye to the program entirely and bring the mind-boggling sum of money back to Congress.

The Federal Highway Administration has already informed the states that the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program that no more money would be distributed for the program until a full audit and review was completed.

Emily Biondi, who serves as an associate administration at the Department of Transportation (DOT), announced that the Trump administration was “suspending approval of state electric vehicle infrastructure deployment plans.”

Biden administration fails to defend program’s failure

This program was just one more piece to Biden’s crumbled green energy agenda that scammed trillions of dollars from American taxpayers and created the worst case of inflation in the last decade.

When pressured to explain why the administration was only able to complete eight out of 500,000 charging stations by Margaret Brennan on CBS News’ Face the Nation, then-Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg stuttered and stumbled trying to find an excuse.

Brennan could be seen visibly laughing as Buttigieg clearly had no explanation for the obvious failure by the Biden administration.

“So the President’s goal is to have half a million chargers up by the end of this decade,” started Buttigieg. “Now, in order to do a charger, it’s more than just plunking a small device into the ground; there’s utility work, and this is also, really, a new category of federal investment.”

“Seven or eight, though?” inquired Brennan, confused by Buttigieg’s disconnect from reality.

“Engaging them and the first handful – again, by 2030, 500,000 chargers,” stuttered Buttigieg. “But again, that’s the absolute very, very beginning stages of the construction to come.”

Former President Biden tore the economy to shreds and created widespread inflation for Americans while throwing truckloads of money at green energy objectives that were clearly impossible to achieve.

But the Trump administration is making it clear that they only want to pursue what they know works and what Americans truly want.
