Democrats appear on Fox News with the goal of scoring some points for their radical agenda.
But they’re not used to getting anything but softballs from the media.
And this former Democrat Congressman was left in shambles after a Fox News star asked one question.
Harris Faulkner exposes a Democrat for “barking at the wind”
President Donald Trump has the Washington, D.C., Swamp in an uproar.
His ambitious plan to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government has left Democrats and some Republicans aghast.
Democrats are especially up in arms that SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) are helping Trump cut the federal workforce.
The Trump administration has offered buyouts, laid off, or fired tens of thousands of federal employees, and they are just getting started.
Democrats and their mouthpieces in the mainstream media are trying to turn fired federal employees into sympathetic figures to pull at the heartstrings of voters.
Former Congressman Pat Murphy (D-PA) appeared on Fox News Channel’s The Faulkner Focus to parrot one of the attack lines used by Democrats by claiming that DOGE’s work has resulted in 10,000 veterans losing their jobs.
But host Harris Faulkner pushed back by pointing out that Democrats are “barking at the wind” about DOGE.
“What is your party doing other than barking to the wind?” Faulkner asked. “And look, I had on this very program recently the secretary of Veterans Affairs and what they are doing with the 400-plus thousand people that they have yet.”
Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins announced that 70,000 employees would be laid off at his agency.
Democrats rely on a big lie to try and stop the reduction in the size of the federal workforce
Democrats and the media want voters to believe that every federal government employee is performing a vital task to keep the country running.
Journalists have even blamed the federal layoffs for planes falling out of the sky, kids going hungry, and food going untested for chemicals and diseases.
The reality is that most of these employees being let go are new hires in their probationary period who were brought in under former President Joe Biden.
Trump is in fact getting rid of pencil pushers and busybody bureaucrats who are dead weight.
Faulkner pointed out that Veterans Affairs laying off employees would make the department able to work more efficiently.
No benefits are being reduced for veterans.
“The benefits for veterans are going so slowly. They’re trying to speed up that number. They’re getting rid of people in the chain that don’t add to the benefits of veterans. So I want to look at a harder list of numbers than what you’ve just given the audience to really see. So, I’m going let you say what you say and then I’ll fact-check it,” Faulkner told Murphy.
Murphy tried to play the veteran angle again.
“One in three federal workers are veterans, right?” Murphy stated. “And again, I’m for cuts, I said, but we gotta be smart.”
“I hear what you are saying,” Faulkner responded. “But you know me. I will let you say it but don’t be surprised if you don’t get a text.”
Democrats are trying to fearmonger voters into thinking the sky will fall if Trump downsizes the government.
The truth is exactly the opposite.
