Democrats are in a state of panic after this former federal prosecutor pointed out the major flaw in their plan to stop Donald Trump

Democrats have clung tightly to the hope that they will be able to re-elect Joe Biden by simply ensuring that Donald Trump is convicted in one of their many witch hunts prior to November.

In fact it’s basically the only plan they actually have for pulling out a win.

And now Democrats are in a state of panic.

Democrats’ 2024 election strategy consists of pushing their many witch hunts against former President Donald Trump in the hope that one will secure a conviction, or at least push potential swing voters into President Joe Biden’s column.

They’ve put all their eggs in that one basket, and as former federal prosecutor Ankush Khardori recently admitted in an op-ed for Politico, that may be their flaw in the Death Star.

In a piece entitled, “The Good, Bad, and Ugly in a New Poll on Trump’s Trials and the Supreme Court,” Khardori pointed out the logical fallacy in Democrats’ belief that their witch hunts will have any impact on the number of votes Trump receives in November’s General Election.

You see, as virtually every poll continues to confirm, those who believe Trump is guilty or would be swayed to definitely vote against him should he be convicted, already disapprove of the former President, while those who either don’t care what the witch hunt trials claim or would be more likely to vote for Trump upon a conviction, already approve of him.

“What arguably stands out most is the fact that the number of people who said that they believe Trump is guilty here was nearly identical to the results when we asked respondents to consider Trump’s guilt in his other three criminal cases — the Justice Department’s prosecution in Washington over the 2020 Election (49 percent said he is guilty), the department’s charges against Trump in Florida over his retention of classified documents (52 percent: guilty), and the Fulton County District Attorney’s case against Trump in Georgia over the 2020 Election (49 percent: guilty),” Khardori noted. “These numbers also roughly track Trump’s unfavourability ratings among the American population.”

Basically, in a nutshell, that means that those voters who claim they would vote against Trump if he’s convicted already plan to vote against him regardless of the verdict in the cases, and those who plan to vote for him will still do so, even if he’s convicted.

Khardori drove that point home while attempting to spin a possible conviction in Manhattan Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s witch hunt against Trump as a positive for Democrats.

Bragg indicted Trump for allegedly falsifying business records to cover-up an alleged campaign finance violation, even though the Biden regime admitted that there was nothing to the allegation, and refused to bring their own charges against Trump despite the alleged crime being a federal matter outside the purview of Bragg’s office.

In attempting to play up the number of voters who said they would be less likely to support Trump if he were convicted in the case, Khardori again proved that those individuals weren’t going to vote for him in the first place.

“By a more than 2-1 margin, respondents said that a conviction would make them less likely to support Trump (32 percent) as opposed to more likely (13 percent),” Khardori added. “Notably, more than a third of independents said it would reduce their likelihood to support Trump. Not surprisingly, the vast majority of respondents who said that a conviction would bolster their support were Republicans. The numbers were similar when we asked about a potential conviction in the federal prosecution for undermining the 2020 election.”

Ultimately, as is often the case, the overwhelming majority of Americans have already made up their minds about Trump and the witch hunts against him.

And despite Democrats’ best efforts, it doesn’t seem as though their witch hunt strategy is going to have their desired effect on Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign.
