With their fourth indictment against Donald Trump, Democrats have officially taken the next step in their push towards authoritarianism.
They know that they don’t have any actual, real legal arguments that will achieve their desired result of imprisoning the former President, so they’re simply stacking the deck in their favor.
But one GOP official is finally making a move to bring their whole house of cards down.
Fulton County Democrat District Attorney Fani Willis thought her mind-boggling manipulation of RICO statutes, typically reserved for those associated with organized crime, to indict former President Donald Trump over allegations he somehow “meddled” in Georgia’s 2020 election would make her a woke extremist rock star.
And she was right, in part – she’s certainly been celebrated as a conquering hero amongst her fellow Democrats.
But by seemingly going way overboard with the indictment, she’s also opened herself up to investigations, talk of defunding her office, and even impeachment within Georgia.
Under the Georgia state constitution, a two-thirds majority of both the state House and Senate would be needed for Georgia Republicans to remove Willis from office – a total they simply do not have without numerous Democrats agreeing that her corruption rises to such a level.
Nevertheless, Georgia Republicans do still have a majority that can certainly use its power to call a special session of the legislature for the purpose of addressing Willis’ abuse of power.
As such, Georgia Republican state Senator Colton Moore was the lead signatory on a letter to Georgia RINO Governor Brian Kemp, in which a three-fifths majority of both the Georgia House and Senate called for a special session to be convened.
“We, the undersigned, being duly elected members of the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia Senate, and comprising 3/5 of each respective house, pursuant to Article IV, Section II, Paragraph VII(b), hereby certify to you, in writing, with a copy to the Secretary of State, that in our opinion an emergency exists in the affairs of the state, requiring a special session to be convened under that section, for all purposes, to include, without limitation, the review and response to the actions of Fani Willis,” the Georgia lawmakers’ letter read.
Moore also issued a statement to Breitbart, explaining that the special session’s purpose would be to defund Willis’ efforts, and potentially even impeach her, if possible.
“We must strip all funding and, if appropriate, impeach Fani Willis,” Moore’s statement read.
“As a Georgia State Senator, I am officially calling for an emergency session to review the actions of Fani Willis,” the Georgia state Senator added. “America is under attack. I’m not going to sit back and watch as radical left prosecutors weaponize their elected offices to politically target their opponents.”
Of course, whatever Georgia lawmakers do to address Willis’ abuse of power, they best act quickly, as she’s already made it known that she fully intends to try to fast-track the case in order to begin the trial one day before the 2024 Super Tuesday primaries.
Willis’ efforts to fast-track the trial alone proves that her only intention is to interfere in the 2024 election and stop Donald Trump from being elected President again.
And Georgia Republicans may be America’s best hope at exposing Democrats’ weaponization of the justice system and stopping them from putting Joe Biden back into the White House.
