Over the final few weeks of the 2022 Midterms Republicans have seemingly had the momentum in key battleground states across the nation.
That’s left Democrats scrambling to drum up enthusiasm amongst their left-wing base in a last-ditch effort to at least save their Senate majority.
But now Democrats just received soul-crushing news about this supposedly safe Blue State Senate race.
The state of Washington has long been one of Democrats’ strongholds in America, almost exclusively electing Democrats to statewide office for decades.
That includes the state’s U.S. Senate seats, where Democrats won both the 2016 and 2018 Senate races by at least 17-points.
Of course, with such success, incumbent Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) thought that her re-election campaign would be a walk in the park.
The only problem is, Democrats have failed so spectacularly on the issues that matter most to voters, like the economy, inflation, crime, and the southern border, even a Democrat in a deep Blue State, like Senator Murray, is facing a serious uphill battle.
After months of Murray safely leading the race, two recently released polls have suddenly catapulted Republican Tiffany Smiley within striking distance of her Democrat opponent.
As a matter of fact, according to a poll from Moore Information Group, Smiley is now tied with Senator Murray just days before Election Day.
“Republican Tiffany Smiley has caught up with 30-year incumbent Democrat Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) and is now tied in the race to Represent Washington in the U.S. Senate, according to two new polls,” Breitbart reported. “A Moore Information Group (MIG) poll released Monday found that Smiley is tied with Murray at 46 percent. Interestingly, Smiley is up two percentage points since MIG’s September poll, While Murray lost two points since last month.”
To make matters even worse for Senator Murray and Democrats, the poll also indicated that Smiley could have an advantage with undecided voters in the state.
“The MIG poll found that eight percent of Washington voters remain undecided ahead of the upcoming midterm election.,” Breitbart’s report continued. “However, those undecided voters do not look friendly toward Murray, according to the pollster, because 80 percent of undecided voters think the country is on the “wrong track.”
Additionally, the Trafalgar Group also released a poll on Washington’s Senate race that indicated Senator Murray is clinging to just a one-point lead in her re-election bid.

No Republican has won a U.S. Senate race in the state of Washington since 1994.
But if the latest polls are any indication, Senator Patty Murray and her Democrat allies could be in for a rude awakening on Election Day.
