Kamala Harris thinks she is next in line behind Joe Biden.
But after two years of working on her image, polls show Harris remains wildly unpopular.
And Democrats realized they have a major problem when Kamala Harris refused to answer this one question.
Kamala Harris recently sat down for an interview with left-wing MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell.
Since Mitchell is essentially a mouthpiece for the Democrats, Biden officials figured there was no way for Kamala Harris to embarrass herself or the administration.
But Harris dropped the ball right out of the gate.
Harris’ critics in the Democrat Party point to her 39 percent approval rating as evidence of why she can never be next in line behind Joe Biden for the Presidency.
Mitchell gave Harris a chance to prove her critics wrong during the interview.
“Why do you think the President has such low popularity, favorable ratings, and you have even less favorable ratings? Why do you think that is?” Mitchell wondered.
Many Democrats already suspect Harris lacks the political skills and personal charisma to win a national campaign.
And Harris only confirmed those suspicions by simply responding that large numbers of Americans continually thank her and Joe Biden for everything they’ve supposedly accomplished.
“Thanking our administration. I think that what we have to do is focus on what is actually strengthening America and the American people and American families. And when I talk with American families about what they want and what they care about, things like bringing down the cost of health care, bringing down unemployment, doing the work of strengthening and growing America’s workforce, including American manufacturing. That’s what the American people want,” Harris claimed.
Harris completely ignored the point Mitchell made about how the majority of Americans disapprove of the job her and Joe Biden are doing in office.
Mitchell then pointed to recent reports in the New York Times and POLITICO claiming that most Democrats understand Biden is too old and senile to be President, but feel obligated to back him because the alternative – Kamala Harris – is guaranteed to lose to Trump.
“I think that it is very important to focus on the needs of the American people and not political chatter out of Washington, D.C.,” Harris responded.
Kamala Harris is a growing problem for Democrats and the media, especially if Joe Biden decides not to run.
Harris had her chance to turn things around with this interview with Mitchell.
But Harris dropped the ball as usual.
