Trump supporters suspected this truth was being kept secret from the public.
But the left-wing media attacked anyone who dared mention it.
And Donald Trump was fuming when CNN made this shocking public confession.
Many of Donald Trump’s supporters accused public health officials of inflating the number of COVID deaths and hospitalizations during the pandemic.
Led by CNN, the legacy media declared it a conspiracy theory and accused Trump and his supporters of spreading “misinformation.”
CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen is one of the so-called “experts” who pushed lockdowns and mask mandates on the American people.
But in a recent Washington Post article, Wen admitted that Trump and his supporters were correct about public health officials exaggerating the number of deaths and hospitalizations attributed to COVID.
Wen appeared on CNN to discuss her article.

Wen revealed in her column that the former President of Georgia’s chapter of Infectious Diseases Society of America, Robin Dretler, along with the attending physician at Emory Decatur Hospital, said that anyone who came into the hospital for any reason was tested for COVID.
However, even if they came with a gunshot wound and tested positive for COVID, they were counted as a hospitalization and/or death caused by the virus.
“Since every hospitalized patient gets tested for covid, many are incidentally positive,” she said.
“People who have very low white blood cell counts from chemotherapy might be admitted because of bacterial pneumonia or foot gangrene. They may also have covid, but covid is not the main reason why they’re so sick,” Dretler told Wen.
In the column, Wen reported that Shira Doran found a way to determine the true number of people who came to the hospital for COVID.
Since the use of the steroid dexamethasone is standard treatment for COVID patients with low oxygen levels, she said it would be a great indicator of the real number of hospitalizations due to the virus.
Only 30% of hospitalizations were for COVID based on this number.
Of course, there’s a reason why CNN and Wen are finally willing to admit this truth.
COVID was nothing more than a political hype job to try and defeat Trump.
And Democrats and the media are trying to prevent the 2024 Republican candidate from pointing out that more people died from COVID in one year under Biden than under Trump.
