Donald Trump caught Trey Gowdy red-handed in this entirely predictable betrayal

The Fox News host couldn’t hide his pleasure at this potential tragedy for Trump’s America First agenda.

There are plenty of issues Trey Gowdy is undeniably great on.

But at the end of the day, he’s shown far too often that his allegiance is ultimately with the establishment far more often than it is the American First movement.

And now Donald Trump caught Trey Gowdy red-handed in this entirely predictable betrayal.

Trey Gowdy unmasked

Of all the talking heads within so-called “conservative media” – a total misnomer that allows the establishment elites within Big Con to continue enriching themselves at the expense of America First patriots – few have been able to stay under the radar while fully supporting the Deep State’s efforts to destroy President-elect Donald Trump and his supporters more than former Congressman turned Fox News talking head Trey Gowdy.

For example, Gowdy openly cheered on former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into what ultimately proved to be the “Russian collusion” hoax, fully admitting that he supported Democrats’ witch hunt “100%.”

“I told my Republican colleagues, ‘Leave him the hell alone,’ and that’s still my advice,” Gowdy ranted on Fox News in 2018 as conservatives pushed back against the Hillary Clinton campaign-manufactured effort to overthrow the duly elected President on the basis of information that has been proven to be fabricated propaganda.

Clearly, there’s a reason why Fox News continues to relegate Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy to the 9:00 PM Sunday nighttime slot – his show would tank if Fox News’ America First viewers tuned in each weeknight and heard him spout such establishment RINO talking points.

And Gowdy once again proved that he’s all-in on supporting the Deep State’s corrupt, unconstitutional, and anti-American efforts by being one of the biggest opponents of Trump’s decision to originally nominate former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as Attorney General.

Of course, Gaetz was ultimately forced to withdraw his name from consideration – allowing Trump to nominate former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi in his place – due to the massive resistance to his nomination coming from establishment RINOs, like Gowdy.

You see, Gowdy and his cohorts in the ruling class not only despise the idea of ending the weaponization of the Justice Department against Trump and his supporters, which Gaetz would have certainly done, but they also want retribution for the role the former Florida Congressman played in ousting former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (RINO-CA).

Never mind the fact that McCarthy once again stabbed the America First movement in the back by going back on RINOs’ campaign promises and working hand-in-hand with the Biden regime to raise the debt ceiling, even though it’s those such working class Americans who gave Republicans the House majority in the first place.

The “morality” police

After Gaetz withdrew his name from consideration, Gowdy took a victory lap on Fox News, even going so far as to accuse Trump of nominating Gaetz for the sole purpose of attempting to weaponize the Justice Department for his own benefit, despite providing zero actual evidence to back up his claim.

“The message for Republicans is don’t do it on the other side, either, with this absurd AG Pick that you just made,” Gowdy smugly claimed. “Justice is different.”

Much like his fellow ruling class elites, Gowdy delusionally believes he’s some sort of moral authority.

“It is a combination of policy, law and also morality,” he arrogantly claimed. “You do not use our justice system as a political weapon. Voters rejected it in November and will reject it if Republicans try to do it. Some things rise above the din. The justice system is one of those things.”

As expected though, Gowdy never actually explains exactly how Gaetz’ efforts to clean up the Justice Department and end Democrats’ weaponization while also holding bad actors accountable is using the justice system as a “political weapon.”

For his part, Gaetz ultimately called out Gowdy as a “Deep State bootlicker.”

“Trey Gowdy is and has always been a Deep State bootlicker,” Gaetz wrote on X, while also including a clip of Gowdy somehow defending the “Russian collusion” hoax as totally legitimate and definitely not a witch hunt against Trump.

“I am more convinced that the FBI did what my fellow citizens would want them to do when they got the information they got and that it has nothing to do with Donald Trump,” Gowdy declares in the clip.

It’s “conservatives” like Trey Gowdy who have and will continue to pose the biggest threat to Donald Trump’s efforts to drain the Washington, D.C., “Swamp.”
