With historically low approval ratings and a declining mental and physical capacity, Joe Biden has very little margin of error in his re-election campaign.
The absolutely last thing he needs is self-inflicted errors that benefit his opposition.
According to the Real Clear Politics national polling average – which is an amalgamation of many major polls through the end of January – former President Donald Trump currently leads President Joe Biden in a head-to-head hypothetical rematch of the 2020 election by 1.8%.
A recent survey conducted by Bloomberg and Morning Consult also indicated that Trump also holds leads in seven of the top battleground states many believe will ultimately decide the 2024 election.
And to make matters even worse for Biden, many of his key demographics, like black and Hispanic voters, are starting to sour on the idea of re-electing him.
Even young voters, who have overwhelmingly supported Democrats, including Biden, in past elections, seem to be growing tired of his act, as evidenced by a recent Pew Research poll that indicated only 27% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 approve of his performance as President.
The most important issues for voters in that age demographic are climate change and support for the Palestinian terrorist organization known as Hamas.
Despite the blatantly obvious negative impact such a move will have on continuing to spike oil and gas prices, President Biden sought to appease young Democrat voters by unilaterally halting a new liquid natural gas (LNG) export terminal in Louisiana.

Of course, the increase in American LNG production is doing far more to achieve environmental extremists’ stated goal of lowering carbon emissions than any legislation Democrats have put forward.
But Biden is still choosing to force working class Americans to shoulder even higher energy prices than the already sky-high prices they’re paying under his regime in order to try to buy votes from voters who are supposed to support him anyway.
Those are the type of moves you make when the real goal of your efforts is to secure more power and control over working class Americans – not “lower carbon emissions.”
Fortunately, the Trump campaign responded to Biden’s move by promising that if he’s elected in November, the former President will make putting a stop to the environmental extremist insanity a top priority.
Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told The Daily Caller that “Joe Biden has once again caved to the radical demands of the environmental extremists in his administration.”
“On day one, President Trump will unleash American Energy to lower the cost of living for all Americans, pay down debt, strengthen national security, and establish the United States as the manufacturing superpower of the world,” she added.
But Leavitt wasn’t done there either.
She also proceeded to declare that Biden’s decision to halt the LNG export terminal was a “disastrous self-inflicted wound that will further undermine America’s economic and national security.”
The skyrocketing cost of living on President Biden’s watch is a primary reason why he continues to see his approval ratings and poll numbers fall lower and lower.
But rather than taking the steps to actually provide working class Americans relief and truly get the economy humming again, Joe Biden has chosen to appease environmental extremists.
And that’s one gift Donald Trump will gladly take.
