Throughout his career, Donald Trump has dealt with folks trying to cut his legs out from underneath him.
But those trying to get over on him with shady business practices have learned he knows how to punch back and turn the tables on them.
Now Donald Trump has dropped the hammer on one group for trying to cost him everything in 2024.
The largest tech and social media companies on the planet couldn’t wait to find any excuse to ban then-sitting President Donald Trump from their platforms.
But now Trump is angrier than ever at the largest search engine on the face of the planet for what looks like crooked business practices in trying to manipulate search results against the former President.
When Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others canceled then-President Donald Trump’s accounts because he dared to suggest the 2020 election results were questionable, the 45th President of the United States decided, “if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself,” and launched his own social media platform, TRUTH Social.
TRUTH launched in February of 2022 and following a few months of beta testing, opened their platform to all iPhone users.
Almost instantly TRUTH became the number one most downloaded app on Apple’s App Store.
The next step, according to former Republican Congressman Devin Nunes of California, who is heading up Trump’s TRUTH Social initiative, is availability on all web browsers.
Nunes said at the beginning of that month that that should happen by the end of May.
“End of May we will launch PWA (Web Browser) this will allow access from any device,” Nunes said. “After that we will launch an Android App … pending approval from Google!” Nunes stated according to a May 2 Reuters report.
But Trump, Nunes and TRUTH Social are still waiting for that approval from Google – and the leader of the MAGA movement is not too happy about it.
Rolling Stone has reported multiple unnamed sources saying in the past month, Trump has been growing irritated by the gigantic Big Tech conglomerate.
According to the anonymous sources, Trump has been asking questions like, “what’s going on with Google,” and “is Google trying to screw with me?”
In a more pointed exchange, one source claims Trump asked, “is Google trying to f**k me?”
Trump has good reason to raise the question.
In January of 2021, Google banned free-speech social media platform Parler from its Play app store.
And that’s on top of its long history of showing anti-conservative bias.
During the 2016 Presidential campaign, Vice reported they were suppressing results from searches for the term “Crooked Hillary.”
USA Today ran an op-ed in 2018 that cited a Harvard research project that proved Google searches are not politically objective.
In fact, in 2016, U.S. News and World Report exposed nine shadow blacklists in which the company used algorithms to block access to news items, political candidates, and business.
There is also the 2017 European Union lawsuit that resulted in the company being fined billions of dollars for manipulating search results.
And in 2018, the Daily Caller reported Google’s “fact-check” feature almost exclusively “fact-checked” conservative news sites.
So, on former President Trump’s question – are they screwing with him and TRUTH – the Magic 8-Ball likely comes up as “Signs point to yes.”
