Donald Trump is days away from taking office.
He’s ready to send a message to the country.
And Donald Trump has one plan for day one that will hit Democrats like a ton of bricks.
Donald Trump has a flurry of executive orders planned for day one
President-elect Donald Trump knows that time is of the essence in his second term.
Axios reported he held a closed-door meeting with Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill where he outlined his day one agenda after he takes the oath of office.
Incoming White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller – one of the architects of Trump’s successful border policies in his first term – spoke at the meeting about the executive actions the President-elect will take on the border.
Trump is planning to issue a staggering 100 executive orders on his first day back in the White House with a focus on border security and boosting domestic energy production.
“There will be a substantial number,” U.S. Senator John Hoeven (R-ND) said after the meeting.
He plans on reinstating Title 42, which is a public health order that allows federal authorities to quickly expel illegal aliens to prevent the spread of disease.
Trump issued Title 42, which resulted in millions of illegal aliens being removed until President Joe Biden revoked it in 2023.
An executive order will be issued that will restart construction on the border wall and on temporary facilities to hold illegal aliens waiting to be deported.
Miller also revealed that the administration will authorize the use of expanded 287(g) authority under the Immigration and Nationality Act, which allows local law enforcement to assist Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with enforcing federal immigration law.
Drill, baby, drill is coming back
Biden took a flurry of executive actions designed to restrict the production of domestic fossil fuels to appease environmental activists.
He issued a ban on most offshore oil and gas drilling as one of his final actions in office.
Trump vowed to quickly reverse the ban.
“Banning offshore drilling will not stand. I will reverse it immediately,” Trump said at a Mar-a-Lago press conference. “I will revoke the offshore oil and gas drilling ban in vast areas on day one.”
Lowering energy prices is the key to Trump’s plan to bring down prices to ease the sting of four-decade-high inflation created by Biden’s socialist spending spree.
Trump joked that he would have a “very tiny little desk” placed on the steps of the Capitol to sign “four or five different documents” after he’s sworn in as President on inauguration day.
The first significant piece of legislation to hit his deck will likely be the Laken Riley Act named after the Georgia nursing student who was murdered by an illegal alien last year.
It requires that local law enforcement and ICE detain illegal aliens who are arrested for theft and shoplifting.
The bill also gives states the ability to sue the federal government to enforce certain aspects of federal immigration law.
Donald Trump won’t be waiting for Congress to get the ball rolling when he becomes the 47th President.
