Donald Trump just shattered a 60-year wage growth record, delivering an economic victory that has Democrats panicking and working families celebrating.
Joe Biden spent four years telling Americans the economy was booming.
But the working class knew better.
And Donald Trump just delivered one economic victory that left the Democrat Party panicking.
Trump’s wages boom breaks 60-year record
Donald Trump promised to Make America Great Again by putting more money in the pockets of hardworking Americans.
Five months into his second term, he’s delivering on that promise in ways that are stunning even his supporters.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent dropped a bombshell announcement that has Washington, D.C. buzzing and Democrats scrambling for excuses.
"Thanks to @POTUS’s pro-growth, America First policies, real wages for hourly workers are up nearly 2% in the first five months of @realDonaldTrump’s second term — the strongest growth in 60 years," Bessent wrote on X.
That’s not just good news – it’s historic.
Bessent made it clear this wasn’t a fluke or lucky break.
"No president has done that before — except President Trump in his first term," he added.
The Treasury Secretary praised the President for being an ally to the people who actually build America.
"Hardworking Americans and Main Street businesses have never had a stronger ally in the @WhiteHouse," Bessent stated.
The numbers don’t lie about Trump’s economic success
The Bureau of Labor Statistics data tells the story that the mainstream media doesn’t want Americans to hear.
Since Trump took office in January, average hourly earnings for blue-collar workers jumped 1.7% to $31.18, up from $30.67 in December.
That might sound modest, but economists know it’s anything but ordinary.
Wage growth for nonsupervisory workers typically rises 2% to 3% annually.
Trump achieved 1.7% growth in just five months, which projects to a potential 4.1% annualized pace.
That’s the kind of growth that changes families’ lives.
But the good news doesn’t stop there.
Inflation continued to cool under Trump’s leadership, with the Consumer Price Index dropping from 2.9% in December 2024 to 2.4% in May.
That means Americans aren’t just earning more – their money is going further.
The inflation data came in below economists’ expectations, despite predictions that tariffs would drive prices higher.
Trump celebrated the news on Truth Social with his characteristic enthusiasm.
"CPI JUST OUT. GREAT NUMBERS! FED SHOULD LOWER ONE FULL POINT," Trump posted. "WOULD PAY MUCH LESS INTEREST ON DEBT COMING DUE. SO IMPORTANT!!!"
Biden’s economic disaster exposed
The contrast with the Biden administration couldn’t be more stark.
According to the New York Post, Trump has been the only president since Richard Nixon in 1969 to record positive growth for blue-collar workers in their first five months.
The recovery represents a complete reversal from the 1.7% decline during Biden’s first five months in office.
Under Biden, inflation destroyed working families as prices soared faster than earnings.
Trump’s economic team is already seeing the results of putting America First policies back in place.
Joseph LaVorgna, an economist recently named as a counselor to Bessent, pointed to Trump’s first-term success as proof of what’s possible.
Between 2018 and 2019, median household income jumped by $5,220 to an inflation-adjusted $78,250.
That’s the kind of real improvement that Democrats promised but never delivered.
Democrats fear Trump’s economic agenda
The Council of Economic Advisers estimated that extending Trump’s 2017 tax cuts could dramatically boost real wages and take-home pay for median-income households.
But Democrats in Congress are doing everything they can to block Trump’s economic agenda.
They know that if Trump succeeds in delivering for working families, their chances of winning future elections will disappear.
The White House is pushing forward with the One Big, Beautiful Bill to "supercharge" the economy and build on the early success.
But that likely all depends on whether congressional Republicans and the Trump administration are able to meaningfully reduce government spending in a bill many oppose as bloated, full of waste, and adding huge amounts to the national debt.
The stakes couldn’t be higher
Bessent didn’t mince words about what happens if Democrats succeed in blocking Trump’s economic agenda.
He warned that failure to pass the bill would be "cataclysmic" for American families.
"It would be the largest tax hike in history. It would be a disaster for businesses, for working Americans, and for our status in the world," Bessent told lawmakers.
The Treasury Secretary painted a grim picture of what Americans could expect if Democrats get their way.
"We would see increases in taxes of thousands of dollars on working Americans, we would see businesses contract, and we would see a substantial increase in the unemployment rate," he stated.
Trump keeps his promises to American workers
The wage growth numbers prove that Trump’s America First policies work when they’re actually implemented.
Unlike career politicians who make promises they never keep, Trump delivered results in his first term and he’s doing it again.
The 60-year record for wage growth didn’t happen by accident.
It’s the direct result of policies that prioritize American workers over foreign interests and working families over Wall Street elites.
While Biden spent four years telling Americans the economy was great, Trump is actually making it great by putting more money in their pockets.
The mainstream media won’t give Trump credit for this historic achievement.
Democrats will try to minimize the significance of wages growing at the fastest pace in six decades.
But the American people know the truth when they see their paychecks getting bigger and their bills getting smaller.
Trump promised to Make America Great Again, and the wage growth numbers prove he’s keeping that promise.
Working families across the country are finally seeing the benefits of having a President who fights for them instead of the Washington, D.C. establishment.
The only question now is whether Democrats will continue to stand in the way of policies that are clearly helping the American people.
