Kamala Harris’s recent polling successes have been bolstered by more-than-ideal press coverage of her campaign.
But Democrats are learning that their media allies can only do so much to help.
Donald Trump just received some devastating news about Kamala Harris, which has him grinning ear to ear.
Poll shows that pro-Harris media fawning is no longer working
Pollster Scott Rasmussen just dropped their latest survey on behalf of RMG research, where it was discovered that Vice President Kamala Harris only holds a razor-thin lead.
The poll indicated that Harris is leading former President Donald Trump by only one point in both a head-to-head matchup, as well as an expanded ballot that includes third-party and independent candidates such as Robert Kennedy, Jr.
This is a staunch reversal from last week’s RMG Research poll, which claimed Harris was holding a five-point lead at 47 percent compared to Trump’s 42 percent.

Napolitan News Service, who sponsored the poll, argued that this might be the first sign that Harris’ so-called “honeymoon phase” is beginning to wane.
“Last week, a Scott Rasmussen national survey found Harris leading by five among Registered Voters (47% to 42%),” reported Napolitan News Service. “These latest results could suggest that the initial Harris bounce has come to an end.”
Trump’s campaign finds opportunity as Harris’ polling self-corrects
As of now, Kamala Harris has been running a campaign on smiles and laughs but zero policy.
To try and manipulate the narrative about what she stands for, she has elected to walk back on every single position she has held in the past.
In 2020, she openly called for gun confiscation, supported the radical Green New Deal, and wanted to ban fracking, all while decriminalizing illegal immigration.
But now she is renouncing everything that she has previously said on these issues.
And the media has been showing clear annoyance at the fact that Harris is refusing to speak to reporters or take questions as to why she used to believe in those positions just a few years ago, why she has chosen to walk them back, and what she claims to stand for now.
It’s not the job of the press to help Democrats get elected. What’s she going to do about Lina Khan? What influence will the donors who supercharged her campaign have? How will she deal with the two wars? The public deserves the answers even if Dem voters don’t want them. pic.twitter.com/Acd923Z6gt

Trump’s campaign had predicted early on this year that if Kamala Harris replaced President Joe Biden on the top of the Democrat ticket – which ended up happening – that she would see a small polling surge that would soon after collapse.
“We are witnessing a kind of out-of-body experience where we have suspended reality for a couple of weeks, and in that suspended reality, it’s almost like Kamala Harris never met Joe Biden, you know, they were passing acquaintances,” argued Trump’s chief pollster Tony Fabrizio.
Over the next week or two, it is expected that Harris’ favorable gains in the polls will begin trickling back down to where it was at the start.
But Harris does have one more minor bump to look forward to now that the Democratic National Convention is taking place this week.
The truth is that polling data may not accurately measure the true state of the race until after Labor Day in September.
