Conservatives are outraged at Fox News over their recent treatment of Donald Trump and his supporters.
As a result, they’ve been abandoning Fox News in droves for the past several months.
But Donald Trump may have put the final nail in Fox News’ conservative viewership coffin.
A new Morning Consult poll shows a nearly 15-point drop in favorability ratings for Fox News among Republican viewers post election – proving that conservatives have had it with the network’s recent anti-Trump bias.
According to the Daily Caller:
“Prior to the Nov. 3 elections 67 percent of individuals who are professing Republicans had a favorable disposition towards Fox News. This plummeted to 54 percent just one week after the election according to a morning consult survey. There are several circumstances that could cause such a shift. One such factor is President Donald Trump’s criticism for the network as reported by the Miami Herald.”
But the poll results aren’t surprising to say the least.
After all, Fox News took sides during the debate, prematurely called Arizona for Joe Biden on election night, and also cut off Kayleigh McEnany during the middle of an important White House Press conference about allegations of widespread voter fraud taking place in several key states.
Not only that, but Fox News also projected the Democrats would gain seats in the House of Representatives – a projection that turned out to be wildly wrong as Democrats ended up losing seats in the House.
Of course, Fox News started drifting to the Left long before the election.
As President Trump recently pointed out, Fox News drastically changed their coverage from a more conservative approach in 2016 to a more pro-Democrat approach in 2020 – covering all of Joe Biden’s speeches while refusing to show President Trump’s.
But the new Morning Consult polls proves that Fox News’ drift to the Left has not gone unnoticed by conservatives.
