Donald Trump has had few hiccups in his role as “MAGA King” and king-maker ahead of the midterm elections.
But one Democrat just guaranteed he’ll get a shot to avenge a major 2020 defeat.
So Donald Trump quietly rejoiced over Democrat Patricia Chesbro’s huge election announcement.
Donald Trump is fighting Democrats on one hand and RINOs on the other.
But he can’t wipe the smile off his face after Democrat Patricia Chesbro gave him one amazing primary season gift in the Last Frontier.
The battle to wrest control of the Senate away from Democrats is heating up during one of the highest-stakes election years ever.
Everything from the economy to American culture is on the line and there’s no telling where the chips will fall.
One thing is for sure, all eyes will be on Alaska which will have one of the most hotly contested races in the country.
Incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski is one of the biggest RINOs in the Senate—and worked tirelessly to make herself Donald Trump’s sworn enemy during his first term as President.
She can be counted on to sell out conservatives every chance she gets and couldn’t wait to vote for the sham impeachment against Trump.
It’s ironic she supposedly represents a red state where conservatives handed Trump a double-digit margin of victory both times he ran as president.
You’d think they could do better in Alaska.
And former Trump administration official Kelly Tshibaka might just be the person to relieve Alaska conservatives of having Murkowski in office misrepresenting them.
But after Tshibaka decided to run — and Trump quickly stepped up to endorse her — Murkowski’s faithful allies quickly hatched a scheme to save her seat.
A former Murkowski staffer pushed a ballot measure in 2020 that flipped Alaska’s primary process upside down.
Once the measure passed, the state switched to an all-party primary for the 2022 elections.
Instead of a Republican and a Democrat primary this year, the state will hold one primary contest in August where the top four finishers will get on the ballot for the general election.
Voters will cast “ranked choice” ballots in the primary, selecting their first four picks for each office in numerical order from one through four.
The underhanded campaign to ram the all-party, ranked-choice primary through in 2020 was clearly a sneaky way for Murkowski’s political machine to ensure their RINO leader would still be on the general election ballot in 2022 in spite of her being a Democrat dressed up in red with an elephant pin.
It was one of Trump’s worst defeats in 2020.
But it was from the first time Murkowski’s supporters performed political sleight of hand to hang on to power.
In 2010, she lost the Republican Primary to a Tea Party candidate but somehow managed to win the General Election as a write-in candidate.
Her RINO friends knew better than to try that trick twice.
Especially after Murkowski painted herself into a corner by siding against Donald Trump and voting for his impeachment and supporting Joe Biden by default.
But Biden’s ability to destroy everything he touches has set up the GOP to make massive gains in November.
In a year when they’d be expected to answer for Biden’s failure, most high-profile Alaska Democrats opted to pass on running for Senate because of it.
So with the candidate filing deadline approaching quickly, it looked like Murkowski would end up as the defacto Democrat in the race.
That along with the built-in advantage being the incumbent all but guaranteed she’d be likely to win re-election.
But at the last minute Chesbro — a retired teacher who heads up her local Democrat group — stepped up and threw her hat in the ring.
That’s nothing short of an incredible gift to Donald Trump and every other conservative who wants to get Murkowski out of the national scene.
While Chesbro isn’t likely to win, she’s the perfect spoiler to pull votes away from Murkowski and help ensure a real conservative candidate at least advances to the November General Election.
There’s still a chance Alaska’s inexplicably successful RINO is still in play, but it’s going to be a real battle instead of the cake walk her supporters hoped they’d arranged.
