President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet picks are already taking heavy flak from the radical Left and their RINO allies.
Of course, the mainstream media is also doing everything they can to torpedo Trump’s cabinet nominees.
That’s why Donald Trump recently announced a possible backup for Pete Hegseth that has swamp creatures screaming in the night.
Trump’s latest Pentagon pick is a winner
Donald Trump’s second administration is starting to come together.
While most of his picks to fill cabinet roles have not been too controversial, some have poked the leftist hornet’s nest.
For example, Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth has been under heavy fire because he wants to end the war in Ukraine and fire the “woke” generals who implemented DEI into the military.
So far Hegseth has vowed to fight on, and Trump is still fully backing him.
And to aid Hegseth, Trump just named Elbridge Colby to be Hegseth’s number three at the Pentagon.
Trump announced on social media, “I am pleased to [announce] a slate of America First Patriots, who will work in conjunction with our GREAT Secretary of Defense Nominee, Pete Hegseth!…Elbridge ‘Bridge’ Colby will serve as Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. A highly respected advocate for our America First foreign and defense policy, Bridge will work closely with my outstanding Secretary of Defense Nominee, Pete Hegseth, to restore our Military power, and achieve my policy of PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH. Bridge served with distinction in the Pentagon in my First Term, leading the effort on my landmark 2018 Defense strategy. He graduated from Harvard College and Yale Law School, and will make an excellent addition to my team, who will, Make America Great Again!”

Colby responded to Trump’s announcement, “I am profoundly honored by and grateful to President Donald Trump for nominating me to serve as his Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. If confirmed by the Senate, it would be an exceptional privilege to work with Pete Hegseth and his team to implement President Trump’s vitally necessary agenda. As the President has rightly made so clear, it is vital to focus our defense policy on restoring peace through strength and always putting America first.”
An America First warrior with deep ties – Colby goes on Tucker Carlson show and says all the right things
Colby, whose grandfather William ran the CIA in the 1970s, explained in a November interview with Tucker Carlson that there needs to be a CIA to gather intelligence around the world, but that the agency has spiraled out of control.
Colby also said that Donald Trump has a mandate to roll back the endless wars abroad.
He explained to Carlson, “Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F Kennedy Jr., Vivek, and Vice President-elect Vance. That is the mandate. . .I worked on nuclear issues a lot. . .nuclear strategy and arms control. I worked on arms control with the Russians. . .And to me, one of the, like, ‘touch grass’ kind of things about a lot of the people who are calling for, like, no-fly zones over Ukraine and intervening against the Russians and escalating and allowing U.S. weapons to be overtly used to attack Moscow. . .that is obviously crazy. It’s, like, ‘time out.’”
He also said that the Left has failed at serving as a counterbalance to the warmongers.
Colby added, “I think that the arguments within the Republican Party in some ways are fiercer because. . .the Democrats are. . .sort of inherently out of position right now. Like, where is the Left? Where are the people who are, like, antiwar? Where are the people who say the CIA is not above reproach or the FBI is not above reproach? . . . We have to have a strong military, but not get into unnecessary wars. That’s just common sense.”
Colby clearly is an adherent to an America First foreign policy.
And Donald Trump needs as many people with clear heads as possible in his administration.
Because the establishment will be putting pressure on Trump from all angles to keep endless wars going.
Joe Biden, with the help of the establishment GOP, is already trying to ram through even more funding for the war in Ukraine.
The Washington, D.C., Swamp is scared, and Donald Trump’s picks are giving them good reason.
