Donald Trump was furious after learning this one sickening truth about one of his administration picks

Once President-elect Donald Trump learned this one sickening truth about a recent nominee for his incoming administration, he immediately jumped into action.

Donald Trump is building his team to take on the Deep State.

The “Swamp” is shaking in their boots over the slate of nominees already announced.

But Donald Trump was furious after learning this one sickening truth about one of his administration picks.

Trump DEA pick gets caught in massive controversy

Donald Trump had tapped Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister in to head the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in his upcoming administration.

Almost immediately after the selection was announced, conservatives started to raise some red flags.

“I’m going to call ‘em like I see ‘em. Trump’s nominee for head of DEA should be disqualified for ordering the arrest of a pastor who defied COVID lockdowns,” posted Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) on his X account.

During the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, before Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Florida was going to be the first state to reject the hysteria and lockdown orders, Chronister made the terrible decision to arrest Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne over holding church services.

During the incident, Chronister announced that Howard-Browne “intentionally and repeatedly disregarded state and local public health orders, which put his congregation and our community in danger.”

The New York Post caught wind of the situation, reporting that “Howard-Browne was charged with violation of public health emergency rules and unlawful assembly – but the charges were later dropped.”

“He languished in jail a day before paying a $500 bond,” added the report.

Once the story broke out, Chronister read the room and immediately announced he would withdraw his bid to sit at the helm of the DEA.

Donald Trump, on a Truth Social post, slammed the media over their reporting on the Chronister situation, dismissing their decision to call it a “setback” for his transition team.

He corrected the media reports that failed to note that it was he who made the call to dismiss Chronister from serving in the DEA following the emergence of Chronister’s COVID tyranny record and targeting religious leaders.

The Wall Street Journal is becoming more and more obnoxious and unreadable. Today’s main headline is: ‘Trump’s DEA Pick Pulls Out In Latest Setback,’” began Trump’s post.

“With all that’s happening in the World, this is their Number One story of the day. Besides, he didn’t pull out, I pulled him out, because I did not like what he said to my pastors and other supporters,” noted the President-elect.

Trump laughed up the decision to call the situation a “setback” considering his ground-rocking Election Day sweep in November.

“But, more importantly, what’s my “latest” setback??? I just won the Presidency of the United States! They haven’t written a good story about me in YEARS. Somebody over there ought to look at what they’re doing. The only one worse than them is stupid, China-centric Forbes Magazine!” added President Trump.

Trump pulled the plug once the facts emerged

Following the story further, the New York Post ultimately confirmed that it wasn’t Chronister who willingly stepped aside once the story broke out – it was Trump, himself, who pulled the nomination.

“Everyone knows President Trump calls the shots,” one source close to Trump explained to The Post. “The president heard the concerns about Sheriff Chronister and acted accordingly.”

“It was the president’s forceful hand that led him to remove his name,” a second source added over the controversial pick being pushed aside.

The source shared some insight to Trump’s reaction to the controversy, saying the President-elect “was very displeased with the revelations about his arrest of the pastor and some of his other actions that he took as a sheriff.”

“Arresting pastors for trying to keep their churches open is a non-negotiable with the president, and that’s what the sheriff was accused of, and the president did not like that,” continued the Post’s source.
