Of the literally hundreds of politicians Donald Trump endorsed in the 2022 Midterms few if any were as unwavering and unabashed in their support of the former President than Kari Lake.
But after coming up short in the Arizona Gubernatorial race under extremely controversial circumstances she’s apparently readying to make a run no one saw coming.
And now Donald Trump was left flabbergasted after Kari Lake posted one tweet that could turn the 2024 election upside down.
Prior to the 2022 Arizona Republican Gubernatorial Primary, few Americans outside the Grand Canyon State were aware of then-Fox 10 Phoenix evening anchor Kari Lake.
But from the moment Lake threw her hat in the ring, it was clear that she was going to be a force to be reckoned with.
Having an on-camera presence and ability to deal with the media few, if any, Republican political candidates typically possess, she started a grassroots America First firestorm across Arizona, leading many working class voters to rally behind her cause.
As a result, Lake received the endorsement of former President Donald Trump in September 2021, adding the little bit of extra political juice needed to propel her to a victory over the Republican establishment elites’ handpicked candidate, Karrin Taylor Robinson.
Ultimately, though, Lake would go on to come up roughly 17,000 votes short in an extremely controversial General Election that saw supposed “printer issues” in the state’s largest county on Election Day just happen to cause issues with the processing of – you guess it – roughly 17,000 ballots, leading to significant confusion throughout the state that also undoubtedly affected the results.
Nevertheless, the election’s results were certified by then-Arizona Democrat Attorney General Katie Hobbs, who just so happened to be the Democrat nominee for Governor who most benefited from the issues, as it allowed her to defy many polls to defeat Lake.
Now, while she continues to fight a legal battle over that race’s outcome, Lake is apparently eyeing her next run for office.
Last week, Lake posted a vague tweet in which she posted a photo showing her silhouette on stage, and included the message, “Are you ready for the next chapter?”

Needless to say, with all eyes on the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary, and the conservative grassroots fanfare surrounding Lake, such a tweet sent the media rumor mill into a frenzy over the idea that she could potentially mount a challenge to Trump.
However, Lake was apparently just teasing a future announcement that she will be challenging former Democrat – yet still very left-wing – Senator Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and socialist Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) for the U.S. Senate in 2024.
To date, only two other candidates have filed to run in the Arizona Republican Senate Primary, Pinal County, Arizona Sheriff Mark Lamb – a fellow staunch Trump supporter – and an unknown candidate named George Nicholson.
But there’s no reason to believe that Lake won’t be the immediate frontrunner for the Republican nomination the moment she officially throws her hat in the ring.
Trump will almost undoubtedly endorse her campaign once again, making her the America First candidate and – as 2022 showed – giving her a clear advantage over potential establishment candidates, especially considering Lake’s 2022 Gubernatorial opponent, Robson, is rumored to be Republican elitists’ top choice once again.
On top of that, with Senator Sinema making the move to run as a Democrat, and Democrats’ top candidate of choice being an unabashed socialist extremist, it’s very likely that Lake could be the frontrunner for Arizona’s open U.S. Senate seat in general.
And there’s no doubt that the mere thought of Kari Lake becoming a U.S. Senator is sending chills down the spines of Democrats and self-proclaimed “journalists” everywhere.
