Donald Trump and Mike Pence have faced disagreements for the past several weeks.
Some Trump supporters are starting to wonder if Mike Pence sold out the President.
And Donald Trump was shocked after Mike Pence made this unexpected phone call to Kamala Harris.
Even though Joe Biden is officially the 46th President, Donald Trump still believes he legally won the November 3 election.
And Trump isn’t alone.
In fact, according to a recent CNN poll, only 19% of Republican voters believe Joe Biden won the election fair and square.
President Trump’s been disappointed with former allies and Members of Congress who state that Joe Biden won the Presidency.
But Mike Pence just joined that list when he made an unexpected phone call to Kamala Harris to congratulate her on the election and offer his assistance with the transition in any way he could help.
POLITICO reported:
Vice President Mike Pence called his successor, Kamala Harris, on Thursday to congratulate her ticket’s win and to assist the transition, people familiar with the situation confirmed to POLITICO.
The phone call came only six days before Inauguration Day, following a fraught post-election season in which President Donald Trump and his supporters vehemently denied his loss in the 2020 election. Though Trump acknowledged his time in the White House was coming to a close following a violent insurrection by his supporters at the Capitol, the president has yet to fully admit defeat to Biden.
Ever since January 6, Pence has been distancing himself more and more from President Trump.
And now he is participating in Biden’s inauguration, which could be the end of Mike Pence’s political future should he decide to run for President in 2024.
