The corporate-controlled media loves to hate on Elon Musk.
They can’t stand that this one billionaire doesn’t tow the progressive line on COVID and other issues.
Now, Elon Musk took them to task with one tweet.
CNN recently ran an article on an outrageous claim by the United Nations World Food Program that 2% of Elon Musk’s wealth could solve world hunger.
Elon Musk responded with a tweet that if they could show how $6 billion (2% of Musk’s net worth) could solve world hunger, that he will sell Tesla stock right now and do it.
Of course the idea that $6 billion could solve world hunger is absurd.
The very UN agency making this claim took in $8.4 billion in 2020, but has yet to solve world hunger.
The US government programs of WIC and SNAP spent over $60 billion in a year, and haven’t solved hunger in the states, much less the world.
Progressives love to claim that they can solve all the world’s problems by taxing the rich, but the numbers just never add up.
The fact is, money in the hands of government is mostly squandered, rather than going to help those in need.
Elon Musk has personally donated millions to private charities to help the less fortunate.
The bottom line is private charity will always be more efficient than government force when it comes to helping the poor.
Nothing has done more to lift people out of poverty than capitalism.
Nations that follow a Marxist socialist system, like North Korea, have mass starvation, while even the poorest folks in capitalist countries fair better than most in socialist countries.
Socialist politicians love to demonize the successful, claiming that if they can only redistribute their wealth, that things will be better for everyone.
Of course, in practice, socialism leaves everyone equally poor, with the exception of the government elite.
Capitalism and free enterprise have done more to lift the average person out of poverty than any socialist system could ever dream of.
Elon Musk has built a company that employs thousands, contributes millions to charity, and ultimately makes the world a better place.
What have socialists done to make anyone’s life better?
