Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) trots around Washington, D.C. with his nose so high in the air if it were to rain he’d drown.
He’s somehow convinced himself he’s the smartest person in every room and that he knows better how to run Americans’ lives than they do.
But now Elon Musk responded to an Adam Schiff attack with five words that absolutely shattered the Congressman’s ego.
Since Elon Musk took over Twitter and began evenly applying the rules to Democrats, Republicans, and self-proclaimed “journalists” alike, and made the platform’s priority freedom of speech and transparency on past anti-free speech malfeasance, he’s been a top enemy of the radical Left.
One of those most angry about Musk’s free speech efforts in particular is, unsurprisingly, Rep. Schiff, who just happened to lead several of Democrats’ witch hunts into former President Donald Trump by pushing “evidence” that’s long been proven to be totally fabricated.
According to Rep. Schiff, Elon Musk is somehow a “hypocrite” because he bought Twitter to protect free speech and then held self-proclaimed “journalists” to the same rules they hold every other American to.
As far as Schiff is apparently concerned, the First Amendment somehow provides self-proclaimed “journalists” — at least, those anointed as “legitimate” by Democrats and legacy media outlets — with special rights it does not provide the average American.
“Elon Musk calls himself a free speech absolutist, to justify turning a blind eye to hatred and bigotry on Twitter,” Schiff wrote on Twitter. “But when journalists report unfavorable news, they are banned without warning. The devotion to free speech is apparently not that absolute. But the hypocrisy is.”
In case you missed it in all the Left’s hysteria lately, the “unfavorable news” Rep. Schiff is referring to “journalists” supposedly reporting was the doxxing of Musk’s real-time location data.
A college student previously wrote software that hacked the FAA data on Musk’s private jet, illegally circumvented numerous laws put in place for privacy and safety, and created a Twitter account that constantly updated exactly where Musk traveled at all times, which inevitably led to a psychopathic leftist stalking Musk’s plane, then chasing down, blocking, and attacking a vehicle carrying his two-year-old son.
After Musk made clear that such doxxing of real-time locations were against Twitter’s Terms and Services, and that the company would enforce the rules evenly for everyone, the so-called “journalists” actively chose to break those rules by doxxing Musk’s real-time location data.
Obviously, an utterly disgusting claim like that made by Rep. Schiff about a situation involving anyone’s child would likely infuriate any good father, and Elon Musk is clearly no exception.
Musk took to Twitter and responded by hilariously mocking the fact that Rep. Schiff would be out of his role as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee next week, and then hit him with five words that shattered his fragile ego.
“Thankfully, you lose your chairmanship very soon,” Musk said. “Your brain is too small.”
But the world’s greatest living innovator wasn’t done there, and proceeded to follow up by asking Schiff whether he, as the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, approved the unconstitutional government censorship Musk’s efforts with the Twitter Files have exposed.
“As (outgoing) Chair of House Intelligence, did you approve hidden state censorship in direct violation of the Constitution of the United States @RepAdamSchiff?” Musk tweeted.
To the shock of everyone, Schiff actually responded — but to the surprise of no one, he also completely refused to actually address Musk’s actual question.
“I don’t support censorship,” Schiff claimed.” Or hate speech. As the (outgoing) CEO of Twitter, how about you? Why not do more to stop slurs against Black people, LGBTQ+ people, Jewish people, and others? Do you commit to providing the public with actual answers and data, not just tweets?”
Of course, as even former Twitter Head of Safety & Integrity Yoel Roth admitted, the only increase in the slurs Schiff speaks of came from “inauthentic accounts” that were likely part of a coordinated bot campaign to make the platform look bad under Musk.
Furthermore, many anti-sex trafficking and child exploitation activists – and even some who hold themselves out as “anti-hate speech” activists – have admitted that Twitter has arguably done more under Musk’s two-month tenure as Chief Twit to combat these matters than the company did in its previous 16 years of existence.
Ultimately, Democrats are just grasping for straws, hoping they can make a big enough stink over something dealing with Musk that they’ll have enough Fake News Media cover to take control of Twitter from him.
But as Adam Schiff found out, if left-wing radicals are going to come at Elon Musk, they best not bring a knife to a gun fight.
