Hillary Clinton’s outrage machine is running on empty.
The former First Lady just launched an attack that backfired spectacularly.
And Eric Trump shut down Hillary Clinton with one brutal fact about Haiti.
Construction crews broke ground this week on President Donald Trump’s new White House ballroom that will accommodate nearly 1,000 guests for state dinners and major social events.¹
The 90,000-square-foot privately funded project comes with a $250 million price tag that Trump and patriot donors are covering without costing taxpayers a single penny.¹
Trump told reporters he’s been planning this for years because the White House has needed a proper ballroom for more than 150 years.¹
Democrats predictably went into full meltdown mode
The project triggered a complete meltdown from Democrats and their media allies despite the fact that every modern president has renovated the White House.
Senator Chris Murphy went on MSNBC and called the project "absolutely illegal."²
Hollywood celebrities like George Takei announced he’d take a sledgehammer to the ballroom if elected president.²
Author Stephen King called the construction "shameful."²
The usual cast of characters couldn’t resist weighing in on social media.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer attacked Trump for working on the privately-funded ballroom during a government shutdown – conveniently forgetting Democrats caused that shutdown.³
Hillary Clinton delivered her most shameless attack yet
But the most brazen attack came from Hillary Clinton herself.
The failed presidential candidate posted on X: "It’s not his house. It’s our house. And he’s destroying it."⁴
That’s rich coming from someone who literally walked out of the White House in 2001 with $28,000 worth of furniture she was forced to return.⁵
The Clintons took approximately $190,000 in gifts when they left office, items that donors thought were being given to the White House itself, not the Clinton family personally.⁵
After public outcry, the Clintons returned $28,000 in furnishings and paid the government $86,000 for other items they received.⁵
National Park Service spokesman Jim McDaniel confirmed the items returned were "government property."⁵
The Clintons also turned the Lincoln Bedroom into a donor reward suite during their eight years in office, offering overnight stays to big campaign contributors.⁶
Clinton’s husband Bill conducted his infamous affair with intern Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office.⁶
So Hillary lecturing anyone about respecting the White House is beyond parody.
Eric Trump delivered the knockout punch
First son Eric Trump wasn’t about to let Hillary’s hypocrisy slide.
He fired back with a response that left Clinton supporters speechless: "The ballroom will be spectacular… unlike your work in Haiti."⁷
That reference cuts to the heart of one of the Clinton family’s most controversial legacies.
After the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Bill Clinton became co-chair of the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission to oversee billions in aid.⁸
But emails obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests revealed Clinton State Department officials gave special treatment to "Friends of Bill Clinton" and "WJC VIPs" when directing Haiti recovery contracts.⁸
During the 2016 campaign, Trump traveled to Little Haiti in Florida where Haitian-Americans told him "they hate the Clintons" because of what happened with the Clinton Foundation’s work in Haiti.⁹
Many Haitians believe the Clintons somehow benefited financially from the recovery effort or only helped the wealthy elite.⁹
Hillary Clinton’s brother Tony Rodham joined the advisory board of a Delaware company trying to raise money to mine for gold in Haiti – a move that fueled accusations of Clinton family profiteering.⁹
The contrast couldn’t be starker.
Trump is spending his own money to improve the White House for future presidents and the American people.
Hillary spent her time in the White House helping herself to government property and using the State Department to benefit Clinton cronies.
The White House fired back at Clinton’s hypocrisy in an official statement.
"Failed presidential candidate and former first lady Crooked Hillary Clinton stole furniture from the White House on her way out until she was forced to return it," White House spokesman Davis Ingle told the press.¹⁰
"Meanwhile, President Trump is restoring the White House to its proper glory for Americans to enjoy for generations to come — at no expense to the taxpayer — something we should all celebrate," Ingle added.¹⁰
The new ballroom will feature ornate design and careful craftsmanship with a seated capacity of 650 people – more than triple the 200-person capacity of the East Room.¹
Trump and his team plan to complete construction before his second term ends in 2029.¹¹
The ballroom will finally allow the White House to host major state functions without having to erect unsightly tents on the South Lawn.¹
Hillary Clinton tried to score cheap political points by attacking Trump’s White House improvements.
But Eric Trump reminded everyone of the Clintons’ real record – and it’s one they’d clearly prefer Americans forget.
