The Left is moving full speed ahead to destroy everything Trump did while in office.
Not only that, but they are targeting his supporters.
And every Trump voter could get kicked out of the military after what a Democrat said.
Former President Donald Trump is everything Democrats despise.
He supports putting America first, while Democrats are insistent on putting America last.
Despite what the Left believes, he was an immensely popular President that 75 million Americans voted for in 2020.
Democrats know that four years from now, they could be in big trouble if Trump decides to run again or he endorses one of his conservative allies.
That’s why they are doing everything they can to punish Trump supporters now, to make them think twice about supporting him again.
One Democrat is taking that to an extreme.
Democrat Rep. Steve Cohen suggested that Trump-supporting members of the National Guard should be vetted as potential security threats.
His statement came just before the inauguration, as he was afraid that Trump supporters in the National Guard would refuse to protect Joe Biden.
He points at the fact that those in the military are more conservative than the general population, suggesting they may not protect Biden if something were to happen at the inauguration.
“You’ve got to figure that in the Guard, which is predominantly more conservative” than the general population, “75 percent are in the class that would be in the large class of folks who might want to do something,” Cohen said. “There were military people and police who took oaths to defend the Constitution…who didn’t do it and were in the insurrection.”
He adds that there is no evidence that National Guardsman were plotting to disrupt the inauguration.
But he went on to say that they need to identify those who voted for Trump to be sure.
“You draw a circle first, and the first circle is people who voted for Trump and not for Biden, as far as…the zone of people who you’d be suspect of. The suspect group is large,” Cohen said.
It is likely that Democrats will push for more of this “identification” later on.
They believe that Trump supporters are the biggest threat to America, and it won’t be surprising to see calls to cull them from military and law enforcement positions.
