It feels like ages ago that Brian Williams famously fabricated a story of his battlefield heroism, but it was only six years ago.
Since then, it’s become almost acceptable for journalists to fabricate stories and spread lies.
And Fake News pioneer Brian Williams just couldn’t stop himself from taking this one last dig at Republicans that will piss you off.
Brian Williams paved the way for the Fake News media.
After being caught lying about being on a helicopter that was shot down by enemy fire in Iraq, Williams was forced to admit it wasn’t true and recant the story.
One might think this would put most journalists on notice – be careful or else you’ll look like a fool.
But it didn’t and, in fact, the lying has become even worse as has the constant bashing of former president Donald Trump and his supporters.
Case in point, after 28 years in the industry, Williams ended his final show by making a dig at Trump.
Williams claimed that the country has fallen under darkness because of Donald Trump and his supporters.
Williams said:
Well, look at the time. I’ll try to keep this brief. After 28 years of peacock logos on much of what I own, it is my choice now to jump without a net into the great unknown. As I do for the first time in my 62 years, my biggest worry is for my country.
The truth is, I’m not a liberal or a conservative. I’m an institutionalist. I believe in this place. And in my love of my country, I yield to no one.
But the darkness on the edge of town has spread to the main roads and highways and neighborhoods. It is now at the local bar, and the bowling alley, the school board, and the grocery store. And it must be acknowledged and answered for.
For Williams to claim he’s neither liberal or conservative is rather laughable.
He, along with most other journalists these days, are clearly in the back pocket of the Democrat party.
Williams has accused the Republican Party of being an authoritarian cult and trying to destroy the country just as much as any other far-left journalist.
Journalists have been working overtime the last five years to try and convince Americans that Donald Trump and his supporters are evil and no good for America.
Williams is no exception.
Even in his final hour, Brian Williams couldn’t resist telling a lie.
