FEMA abandoned hurricane victims over this absurd hoax

Left-wing conspiracy mongers may have ended up costing victims their lives.

Residents of North Carolina learned they couldn’t rely on FEMA for hurricane relief.

Individual volunteers stepped up and did the job the Biden-Harris administration refused to do.

And FEMA abandoned hurricane victims over this absurd hoax.

Militia Boogeyman

The Left loves to exaggerate and fearmonger.

If you only followed left-wing media and Democrat campaign commercials, you would think that Project 2025 was some vast plot to install Trump as dictator for life and transform America into 1930s Germany.

The Left would have you believe that a single riot at the capitol was an “insurrection” concocted by Donald Trump that nearly overthrew the government.

One of the Left’s favorite boogeymen is “militias.”

Leftists imagine some sort of private army conducting intense training exercises with their scary black rifles that could emerge any day now to overtake the country.

In reality, the few so-called militia groups that exist are small groups of guys that get together to hang out, shoot guns and drink beer.

In North Carolina, false rumors flew of 2 trucks full of militiamen who were going to hunt down FEMA workers.

In response to these rumors, FEMA ordered aid workers to stand down.

“FEMA has advised all federal responders Rutherford County, NC, to stand down and evacuate the county immediately. The message stated that National Guard troops ‘had come across x2 trucks of armed militia saying there [sic] were out hunting FEMA’” the Washington Post reported according to an official with the U.S. Forest Service.

It turns out, there was one lone nutcase that was making threats against FEMA, and he was arrested.

William Jacob Parsons of Bostic, a 44-year-old North Carolina resident was charged with Going Armed to the Terror of the Public.

He had no accomplices.

Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office put the militia rumors to rest in a statement released to the press.

“The initial report stated there was a truck load of militia that was involved. However, after further investigation, it was determined Parsons acted alone and there were no truck loads of militia going to Lake Lure,” the sheriff’s press release said.

FEMA stood down over nothing

A FEMA spokesperson admitted to making “operational adjustments” in response to the bogus militia threat.

“For the safety of our dedicated staff and the disaster survivors we are helping, FEMA has made some operational adjustments. Disaster Recovery Centers will continue to be open as scheduled, survivors continue to register for assistance, and we continue to help the people of North Carolina with their recovery,” the spokesperson told WBTV in Charlotte.

“FEMA continues to support communities impacted by Helene and help survivors apply for assistance,” the spokesperson continued.

FEMA has already taken way too long to deliver any aid to affected residents and North Carolina.

Many North Carolinians are understandably upset with FEMA, but there never was a “militia” seeking to harm FEMA workers.

FEMA further delayed aid in response to a complete nothing burger.

These are the consequences of Leftists’ fear mongering.

It appears that FEMA was never facing any sort of credible threat, and more North Carolinians suffered as a result.
