It is no secret that President Joe Biden and the Democrats are weaponizing the American justice system to target his top political opponents.
Everyone from Donald Trump to his working-class supporters have now been subject to the unprecedented use of lawfare by Biden and his top allies.
And former Trump advisor Peter Navarro just shared this jaw-dropping account about what happened when he reported to prison.
“Kangaroo court”
Former President Donald Trump was recently convicted in a bogus trial on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a radical Soros-backed Democrat, spent his entire campaign promising to solely focus on going after Trump.
The bogus charges were a part of a grand plan assembled by President Joe Biden and his Democrat allies, which sought to target the America First movement through lawfare when their political avenues failed.
Former Trump advisor Peter Navarro is one of those people that found themselves in the crosshairs of the Left’s political persecution.
Navarro was well-known for his contributions to the Trump administrations for his key role in the construction of Trump’s America First trade policy that once was.
Ultimately, Navarro was sentenced to four months in federal prison for defying a Congressional subpoena issued by then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) January 6 Committee, which was intentionally designed to target the people around Donald Trump.
The 74-year-old adviser has been locked up in a federal jail in Miami with a $9,500 fine to his name for refusing to attend Pelosi’s “kangaroo court” – something that would never happen to a Democrat.
Had Navarro been a Democrat, he likely would have been allowed to reject the subpoena, as has been done routinely by Democrats in the past.
Former Barack Obama Attorney General Eric Holder, his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former IRS official Lois Lerner all refused to comply with lawfully issued subpoenas.
Not a single one of them faced any repercussions for such, highlighting a massive double standard in the application of law.
Political insight of a federal prison
With Navarro’s mid-July release date drawing near, he recently participated in an exclusive interview with Breitbart, where he shared his firsthand experience in a federal jail as a political prisoner.
“What’s it like in prison?” asked Breitbart. “Are people familiar with who you are? What’s the reaction?”
“Miami is a particularly tough prison,” responded Navarro.
He provided a list of major inconveniences that exist in prison, such as how “prescription drugs are hard to come by.”
Navarro was also disturbed by the lack of proper nutrition that exists in the prison, like how “the food is low in protein and calories high in sugar and carbohydrates.”
He said the conditions were “certain to worsen any conditions ranging from diabetes and hypertension to heart conditions and kidney issues.”
But when it came to the political atmosphere, Navarro had more positive things to share.
According to Navarro, the inmates in his Miami prison loved Trump and absolutely hated Joe Biden.
“The good news is that the vast majority of inmates love Donald Trump for passing the 2018 First Step Act and hate Joe Biden for not implementing it,” Navarro explained.
“Same with the corrections officers – Trump and I respect the uniform and they know that, while they also know Biden has been a disaster,” he added.
He argued that his experience would have been much different had he been a Biden supporter instead.
“If I were a Bidenite, things would be a lot tougher here – and yes, they know exactly who I am and respect the fact that I stood up for a principle and didn’t bow to the government,” concluded Navarro.
And while Navarro may have thought he made a good point, the truth of the matter is that had he been a Democrat, he would have never had to step foot in prison in the first place.
