The 2024 Presidential Republican Primary is still three years away.
But right now a lot of folks are speculating on whether or not Mike Pence will run for President in 2024.
And former Trump campaign pollster Tony Fabrizio just released a poll that has Mike Pence rethinking his political future.
A new poll put out by former Trump campaign pollster Tony Fabrizio shows Donald Trump is the overwhelming choice of voters with 51 percent saying Trump is their number one choice should he run again in 2024.
But who will Republicans support if Donald Trump is not on the ballot?
According to Fabrizio, Trump’s support will be spread out between Senator Ted Cruz, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former Vice President Mike Pence.
POLITICO reports:
But when Fabrizio combined the results with Trump voters’ second choices, DeSantis and Pence were tied with 22 percent, with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz coming in a close third, with 19 percent.
“If President Trump chose not to run, it’s clear his supporters are already gravitating towards VP Mike Pence, FL. Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Ted Cruz,” Fabrizio said.
Of course, Governor DeSantis’ rising popularity is not surprising given how he stood up and rejected the Democrats’ authoritarian mask mandates and job-killing lock downs during most of the COVID-19 crisis.
Not only that, but like Trump, DeSantis has been willing to fight back against the Fake News Media’s smear campaign.
And that’s exactly what Trump’s base is looking for in 2024 – a Republican who will fight and not apologize to the Left.
Mike Pence fell out of favor with Trump’s base by acting more like a conventional establishment Republican.
