Fox News’ ratings have dropped by 40% since the November 3 election.
Network executives are making changes in an effort to recover from the loss.
And late night liberal comedians are worried after Fox News just announced this huge change at the network.
Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld is one of the most pro-Trump anchors at the network.
In addition to co-hosting The Five, Fox News’ CEO Suzanne Scott just announced that Shannon Bream’s newscast will be bumped back to midnight – and Gutfeld’s weekend show will now move to five nights a week at 11pm to fill the slot.
“People need a reason to laugh,” Scott wrote in a statement announcing the programming shift.
“Greg’s unique and irreverent talk show has been an incredible success, often beating the late night broadcast competition, despite its Saturday timeslot. With one of the most loyal and engaged audiences in cable news, we’re thrilled to bring the show to weekday primetime and further solidify Greg’s place among late night television stars” she added.
During his weekend show, which was well-received by Fox News viewers, Gutfeld always mixed in humor, pop culture references, and politics.
But now that he is moving to the 11pm slot five days a week, Gutfeld will be competing with liberal late night comedians like Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.
And Gutfeld is more than excited for his chance to take his popular weekend program to viewers five nights a week.
“This feels like the perfect next step following the amazing success of the weekend show, which is due in large part to a great staff and a management that lets the show follow its own unique path,” Gutfeld declared. “Every day someone comes up to me to ask when are we going nightly, so now that we are, there will be approximately 3 million people who will claim it’s their idea!”
Of course, the Fake News Media likes to accuse Fox News of being more of a conservative opinion network than a real news channel while pretending that Chuck Todd, Anderson Cooper, and Don Lemon are real “news anchors” delivering “real news” to the American people.
