Biden’s handlers thought no one noticed this blunder.
But they were wrong.
Because Fox News just embarrassed Joe Biden by asking Karine Jean-Pierre this one basic question.
After recession fears kicked in over the summer, Americans cut back on their driving to try and save money.
This lower demand naturally led to a decline in the price of gas.
But that didn’t stop Joe Biden from claiming all credit for the drop in gas prices over the summer.
The $3.75 per gallon Biden bragged about was still much higher than the $2.39 price per gallon when Donald Trump left office.

After dropping off, gas prices are going back up to an average of $3.91 per gallon.
During a White House press briefing, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy brought up Biden claiming credit for gas prices going down over the summer before asking Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre if he would also claim credit for the current rise in prices.
“Is the President responsible for gas prices going up?” Doocy wondered.
Jean-Pierre responded with typical administration talking points, blaming anyone and everything but Joe Biden for the rise in prices.
“So, it’s a lot more nuanced than that, right Peter? You know this,” Jean-Pierre added. “There have been global challenges that we have all dealt with, ‘all’ meaning other countries as well as the pandemic. There’s been a pandemic and there has been Putin’s war, and Putin’s war has increased prices at the pump. We have seen that over the past several months, and we saw what the President was able to do. He took some historic steps at the Strategic Petroleum Reserve and made sure that we were able to do everything that we can to bring that cost down for American families, give them a little more breathing room. And we saw that.”
After Joe Biden emptied the Strategic Petroleum Reserves to the lowest level in decades, OPEC is now threatening to lower production by as much as one-million barrels of oil per day, which is why gas prices will likely continue to rise.
Not only that, but eventually the government will have to refill the reserves emptied by Joe Biden.
This increase in demand will also drive prices higher.
And that is 100% Joe Biden’s fault since it was him who emptied the reserves as part of a political stunt to temporarily lower gas prices.
