Since its inception, Fox News’ supposed purpose was to provide a sorely-needed platform for conservative viewpoints in the corporate-controlled media landscape.
While every other network parrots the radical Left’s talking points as rock solid “news,” Fox is supposed to challenge and question them.
But after this massive betrayal of conservatives, they may never recover.
If you happened to catch any of the so-called “mainstream” media’s coverage over the past couple of weeks, odds are you’ve seen them try to push the Left’s gun control agenda.
Not only that, but Hollywood celebrities, professional athletes, musicians, D-list social media “influencers,” and everyone else the radical Left has brainwashed and who has access to a social media account, have also served as nothing more than puppets of the radical Left.
Literally everywhere you turn, someone is pushing the Left’s gun control agenda.
So needless to say, the last thing the radical Left needs right now – or really any time – is help spreading their propaganda to the masses.
Unfortunately though, that’s exactly what Fox News did recently when they decided to help one of the biggest gun grabbers in Washington, D.C., Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT), spread the word about his latest gun control scheme.
Of course, as most conservatives are aware, Senator Murphy has long sought to capitalize on every mass shooting in order to use emotion to blackmail Republican politicians into shredding the Second Amendment.
But that didn’t stop Fox News from publishing an op-ed from Murphy, in which he promoted his anti-gun crusade, and tried to sell conservatives on his scheme to enact national red flag confiscation laws that would allow left-wing judges to order law enforcement to seize firearms from law-abiding Americans without due process.
Senator Murphy claimed in the op-ed that he supported the Second Amendment and that some dark force magically orchestrated a campaign to convince conservatives otherwise.
“But before I could take my seat, the campaign had begun to try to make conservative gun owners believe my offer wasn’t sincere – that I really had a secret agenda to take people’s guns away,” Senator Murphy claimed. “That isn’t true. That’s never been true. I believe that the Second Amendment protects a citizen’s right to buy and own firearms.”
Just like every other Democrat who claims they “support the Second Amendment” right before calling for gun control, Murphy went on to clarify that his ultimate goal wasn’t gun control – it’s merely the outright prohibition of entire classifications of firearms.
“But I also believe that like every constitutional right, there are limits,” Murphy continued. “I don’t believe the Constitution protects the right of criminals or people with serious mental illness to own weapons. And while all of us might draw the line in a different place, I think we all agree that the Constitution allows Congress to decide which weapons are so dangerous as to be kept exclusively in the hands of the military.”
Murphy went on to make conservatives a compromise offer, saying, “I also acknowledge that in order to find common ground, I will need to agree to a smaller set of reforms than I would prefer.”
Of course, his idea of ‘finding common ground’ consists of Senator Murphy and the radical Left being willing to make tremendous sacrifices, like agreeing to tighter background checks, funding mental health resources for “young men in crisis,” funding security at schools, and passing laws that will allow left-wing judges to order police to seize weapons from law-abiding Americans without due process.
“I’m willing to pass incremental change, like tightening up our background checks system and helping states pass laws to allow law enforcement to temporarily take guns away from individuals who pose a threat to themselves or others,” Murphy explained. “I’m also very supportive of providing more mental health resources to help young men in crisis and more funding to pay for security upgrades at our schools.”
The gun grabbers are nothing if not reasonable, Murphy wants conservatives to believe.
At the same time, Senator Murphy also readily admits that he has no clue whether any of the gun control measures he’s proposing will actually work.
“I don’t know if any of these reforms would have stopped the massacre at Robb Elementary or at Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo,” Murphy admitted.
With left-wing radicals like Senator Chris Murphy leading the Left’s gun control effort, how could conservatives not trust them?
Especially when left-wing radicals like Murphy are handed a massive platform by the one corporate-controlled media outlet conservatives are supposed to be able to trust.
There’s plenty conservatives can forgive, but Fox News’ decision to help the Left trample on our constitution, strip away our God-given, natural right to self-defense, and march our nation closer to left-wing authoritarianism is not one.
