Fox News is the target of attacks in the media ecosystem.
But now the shoe was on the other foot.
And Fox News received this apology that absolutely no one saw coming.
MSNBC hosts apologize
The terrain continues to shift beneath the feat of the leftist media.
Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski stunned the audience when she came back on the air and issued an apology for comments made in the previous segment about Fox News and the baseless reports in the media that Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth showed up to work at Fox News hung over.
“And before we go to break or a little bit earlier in this block, there was a comment made about Fox News in our coverage about Pete [Hegseth] and the growing number of allegations about his behavior over the years and possible addiction to alcohol or issues with alcohol,” Brzezinski began.
“The comment was a little too flippant for this moment that we’re in. We just want to make that comment as well. We want to make that clear,” Brzezinski added.
“We have differences in coverage with Fox News, and that’s a good debate that we should have often. But right now, I just want to say there’s a lot of good people that work at Fox News who care about Pete Hegseth, and we want to leave it at that,” Brzezinski concluded.
Surprised that Joe and Mika apologized

MSNBC’s lawyers were clearly worried about a defamation suit and demanded Brzezinski go on the air and apologize for comments made by Never Trumper and Atlantic writer David Frum.
MSNBC yanked Frum off the air after he quipped, “If you’re too drunk for Fox News, you’re very, very drunk indeed.”
Journalist David Frum said “if you’re too drunk for Fox News, you’re very, very drunk indeed” on Morning Joe today.
This prompted co-host Mika Brzezinski to give an apology to Fox News later in the show.

Frum’s angry response
Frum wrote a column in The Atlantic blaming the current media landscape for Joe and Mika apologizing for his comments after taking him off the air.
In the piece, Frum claimed the fact that MSNBC’s corporate overlords spun the left-wing network off into a different company than NBC News created a state of unrest where a sale looks like it’s over the horizon and no one knows what the future holds.
Frum also wrote that Joe and Mika want to suck up to Trump because they fear criminal prosecution.
“Now NBC is up for sale by Comcast, with the future of the liberal MSNBC network very much in question. The hosts of Morning Joe visited Mar-a-Lago in November to mend fences with Trump. They genuinely have a lot to worry about,” Frum stated.
Frum added that he understood he would get banned for life from MSNBC.
“I write these words very aware that I’m probably saying goodbye forever to a television platform that I enjoy and from which I have benefited as both viewer and guest. I have been the recipient of personal kindnesses from the hosts that I have not forgotten,” Frum added.
But Frum whined that the media was ditching it’s total resistance to Trump after seeing how the hysteria and hoaxes that filled cable news airwaves the last eight years not only failed to defeat Donald Trump, but also drove away viewers.
“I do not write to scold anyone; I write because fear is infectious. Let it spread, and it will paralyze us all. The only antidote is courage. And that’s infectious, too,” Frum concluded.
