Fox News has found itself in a heap of trouble with it’s viewer base.
The way it mishandled the election reporting – seemingly falling in line with the Biden corner from the get go – left a bad taste in conservatives’ mouths.
But it didn’t stop there. Fox News stunned viewers when this former Trump supporter said just three words live on television.
Geraldo Rivera has been a part of the Fox News Channel as a network contributor for nearly two decades and has been a regular vocal supporter of President Donald Trump.
However, Rivera has most recently been calling on President Trump to just concede the election and focus on the transition to a Biden administration.
This is not what the conservative viewer base of Fox News want to hear when many believe that the election was not won fairly.
But appearing on Fox News recently, Geraldo Rivera took his calls on Trump to concede the November election a step further.
He said “there’s no Constitutional avenue” to Trump getting another term in the White House.
“The president is wrong. There is no avenue left. There was no legislative avenue, there’s no Constitutional avenue, there is no judicial avenue,” Rivera stated.
On top of that, Rivera called out Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows for a Tweet discussing a meeting between Trump and a group of trusted conservatives in the House of Representatives who were planning on objecting to certifying the “results” from the Electoral College.
He stated that Meadows was being “totally reckless” by tweeting that information.
Also appearing on that segment, President of Turning Point USA – Charlie Kirk – responded to Rivera saying that there was still a longshot possibility that Trump could end up the winner of the election.
Angrily, Rivera retorted “That’s bogus! There’s no way to turn it around!”
The truth is, there is a way for Trump to end up with another term in office.
The election is not final until the Senate certifies the Electoral College results.
While it is a longshot, conservative Senators could decide to put the validity of the election into question and decide against certifying the Electoral College’s results in key swing states.
So Rivera is wrong to say that there is no remaining path for Donald Trump.
