Donald Trump parted ways with Mike Pence when he left office in January.
But Mike Pence is still considering running for President in 2024.
And Fox News viewers were stunned into silence by what Mike Pence just told Sean Hannity about Donald Trump.
During a recent interview with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity, Mike Pence discussed his falling out with Donald Trump around the events of January 6.
Donald Trump claimed Mike Pence had the authority to reject certified results of Electoral College counts from the states where voter fraud allegedly took place.
But Mike Pence told Sean Hannity that Trump was wrong because under the 12th Amendment to the Constitution, his only role was to serve in a ceremonial fashion and count the certified results of each state as they submitted them.
Pence said he and Trump eventually resolved their differences over certifying the results.
After that, Mike Pence spoke about the media’s claim that January 6 was an insurrection was patently false.
Of course, a few folks acted violently that day, but many others just wandered around the Capitol while taking photos.
The entire ordeal only lasted roughly three hours, and the results of the election were certified by Congress later that night.
According to Pence, the reason the media is focusing so much on the events of January 6 is to distract the American people from Biden’s failures on the economy, the border, and Afghanistan.
Instead, the media used the incident as an excuse to smear the 74,000,000 Americans who voted for Donald Trump in hopes of damaging the Republican Party in the 2022 midterms.
“I know the media wants to distract from the Biden administration’s failed agenda by focusing on one day in January. They want to use that one day to try and demean the character and intentions of 74 million Americans who believed we could be strong again and prosperous again and supported our administration in 2016 and 2020,” Pence stated.
