California's “First Partner” thought she could take on the President.
She walked right into a buzzsaw of her own making.
And Jennifer Siebel Newsom got hit with one brutal fact after she attacked Donald Trump.
Newsom's wife launches tirade against Trump at redistricting event
Jennifer Siebel Newsom took center stage at a press conference supposedly about California's Proposition 50, the controversial redistricting measure backed by her husband Governor Gavin Newsom.¹
But the event quickly turned into something else entirely.
Siebel Newsom delivered a blistering attack on President Donald Trump that had nothing to do with congressional maps and everything to do with settling personal scores.
"I will tell you right now, I will not raise my children to think Donald Trump is an acceptable American leader," she declared to cheering supporters.²
"Nor that he is what the leader of our great country should behave like. I won't raise them to think his terror enables his power and that his greed equals success."
She didn't stop there.
Siebel Newsom called Trump a "con artist," a "predator," and a "malignant narcissist" while her husband stood behind her nodding along.³
The irony was apparently lost on both of them.
Social media users remind Jennifer about the Newsoms' checkered past
That's when the facts started flying on social media.
One user laid out the uncomfortable truth about the Newsoms' own track record on the very behavior Jennifer was condemning.
"He's not an acceptable American leader. Didn't Gavin Newsom cheat on his ex-wife with his best friend's wife?" the post read.⁴
"He's not what strength really looks like. Like Harvey Weinstein, who Jennifer gave fellatio to?"
The reference hit hard because Jennifer testified in 2022 that Harvey Weinstein raped her in a Beverly Hills hotel room in 2005.⁵
Weinstein's defense attorney argued during the trial that she engaged in "transactional sex" for career advancement and called her testimony "theatrical" and "overly dramatized."⁶
But there's more to the story that makes Jennifer's moral grandstanding even harder to stomach.
RedState's Jennifer Van Laar brought the receipts about Jennifer's connection to Weinstein that few people talk about.
"JSN tried to silence Rose McGowan re: Harvey Weinstein, b/c JSN's brother-in-law is one of the Schillers in Boies Schiller law firm," Van Laar wrote.⁷
That's the same law firm that helped Weinstein intimidate his victims and silence his accusers for years.
The French Laundry scandal exposes Newsom hypocrisy
Fox News' Joe Concha reminded everyone about the ultimate example of Newsom family hypocrisy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Jennifer Newsom also attended the French Laundry dinner. The Newsoms also sent their kids to private school while the governor shut down public ones," Concha posted.⁸
That November 2020 dinner became a national symbol of "do as I say, not as I do" political arrogance.
Gavin and Jennifer dined indoors with a dozen people at one of California's most expensive restaurants while he was ordering ordinary Californians to stay home and avoid gatherings.⁹
Photos showed them sitting shoulder to shoulder with lobbyists, including top executives from the California Medical Association, maskless and laughing while the sliding glass doors were closed because their group was so loud.¹⁰
At the time, Newsom was telling Californians to wear masks "between bites" while dining and to skip Thanksgiving dinners with their own families.¹¹
The French Laundry charges $350 just to start dinner.¹²
While Newsom locked down public schools for almost a year, he and Jennifer kept sending their own children to private schools that remained open.¹³
When confronted about it, Newsom claimed he was a "Zoom parent" despite reports showing otherwise.¹⁴
Fox 11 Los Angeles obtained exclusive photos that destroyed Newsom's claims the dinner was "outdoors" as he initially stated.¹⁵
Jennifer attacks Trump while standing by Gavin's track record
Jennifer's moral lecture about Trump gets even more absurd when you look at her husband's personal history.
In 2007, Gavin admitted to an affair with Ruby Rippey-Tourk, the wife of his campaign manager and best friend Alex Tourk.¹⁶
The affair happened while Newsom was divorcing his first wife and Ruby was very much married.
Jennifer actually defended Gavin and blamed the victim.
"I shouldn't say this, but there are two sides to every story," Jennifer told the media. "If people did research into the scandal, the woman is the culprit."¹⁷
She tried to justify Gavin's actions by claiming he was under pressure from his divorce and his mother's death.
That's the same Jennifer Siebel Newsom now lecturing the country about Donald Trump's character and fitness for leadership.
Proposition 50, which passed on Tuesday, will allow Democrats to gerrymander California's congressional districts to potentially gain up to five seats in the House of Representatives.¹⁸
The measure will temporarily sideline California's independent redistricting commission that voters were told was created in the first place to keep politicians from rigging elections.¹⁹
Jennifer's anti-Trump tirade was designed to fire up the Democrat base and distract from what Prop 50 actually does.
But voters paying attention noticed the hypocrisy.
Unfortunately, there simply weren’t enough paying attention.
When you've attended lavish dinners while telling others to sacrifice, sent your kids to private school while keeping public schools closed, and defended your husband's affair by blaming the other woman, maybe don't lecture America about leadership and character.
The Newsoms can attack Trump all they want.
Their own record speaks volumes about who they really are.
