Dating all of the way back to 1976, the candidate running for President who won the Catholic vote ultimately won the election.
In 2016, Donald Trump was the victor with Catholics, pulling 52 percent of Catholic voters to Hillary Clinton’s 44 percent.
Joe Biden had taken the Catholic vote just four years later, 50 percent to Trump’s 49 percent.
With the 2024 race proving to be neck-and-neck, it appears as though the Catholic vote will decide the election once more.
That is why Democrats are rushing to water down the most extremist positions held by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris – that taxpayers should foot the bill for abortion-on-demand up until the moment of birth.
During a recent airing of The Five on Fox News, Left-wing co-host Jessica Tarlov attempted to paint Biden off as a moderate, claiming that since Biden is “personally” Pro-Life, this makes him more tolerable – despite his lack of support for any restrictions whatsoever on abortion.
Greg Gutfeld, however, did not tolerate that argument.
“I don’t think you can be a practicing Catholic and be pro-abortion,” Gutfeld fired back, pointing to the Catholic Church’s firm position on defending the sanctity of life.

Kamala Harris continues to push Catholics away
Polls continue to show that Donald Trump is walking away with a majority of Catholics voters in the seven most critical battleground states.
According to the National Catholic Report, “With just more than three weeks to the election, Trump leads Harris 50% to 45% in the closely watched battleground states, a margin that could be an important factor given the closeness of the contest.”
“Most polls say the race is too close to predict, and margins are extremely narrow in the decisive states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin,” they continued in their report.
In the key battleground states, Catholics hold impressively sizable numbers, which allows Trump’s lead with these high value voters to cause another major obstacle for Kamala Harris.
“In the battleground states, Catholic populations are sizable and are seen as so important to the Trump and Harris campaigns that both have launched efforts to woo the so-called Catholic vote,” the report added. “In Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, for example, approximately one-quarter of adults identify as Catholic.”
But Kamala Harris is struggling to garner support from Catholic voters, considering that she doesn’t know how to stop insulting them regularly.
Italians are, also, mostly Catholic.
So it didn’t help Kamala Harris when she chose to denigrate one of the great Italian heroes, Christopher Columbus.
Kamala, once again, locked arms with the radicals on the Left by dragging Columbus through the mud by painting him off as a racist and a colonizer, while refusing to acknowledge Columbus Day.
She, instead, took to social media where she claimed to recognize “Indigenous Peoples’ Day.”
Kamala Harris wrote on X, “This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, I am thinking about the young Indigenous leaders I met in Arizona last week.”
