Hillary Clinton thought she had gotten away with it.
Clinton and her allies didn’t expect they would be exposed for all their shady actions.
Most Americans now see the entire Trump-Russia collusion “scandal” as a complete fake.
The hoax ended up costing the American taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars and resulted in the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
And new developments point to conspirators from both parties in a hoax reaching into the highest levels of government — many of them in the very Department of Justice which is supposed to be enforcing the law.
One of those conspirators was now-disgraced former head of counterintelligence at the FBI’s New York field office, Charles McGonigal.
In fact, he was one of the officials that kicked off the Russia collusion investigation.
But now the house of cards is starting to crumble.
McGonigal is now facing criminal charges for working with Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.
And U.S. District Judge Jennifer Reardon recently wrote that McGonigal now wants to change his “not guilty” plea in the case and instead plead guilty to the charges he is facing.
“Mr. McGonigal, a former top FBI counterintelligence agent based in New York, is the fourth major FBI figure from the Trump-Russia collusion probe to face criminal charges or end up under investigation,” the Washington Times reports.
“Federal prosecutors in New York and Washington filed separate indictments against Mr. McGonigal accusing him of illegally accepting payments for his work with Oleg Deripaska, a sanctioned Russian oligarch. Mr. McGonigal faces multiple criminal charges related to allegedly violating U.S. sanctions by taking payments from Mr. Deripaska in exchange for investigating a rival Russian oligarch,” the Times also reports.
McGonigal played a major role in launching the Russia collusion witch hunt.
The disgraced FBI agent was the first official to notify FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. about George Papadopoulos informing an Australian diplomat that the Russians supposedly had dirt on Hillary Clinton.
As Newsweek reported, “In September 2020, FBI Deputy Assistant Director Jonathan Moffa said, during Senate Judiciary Committee questioning, he received an email in July 2016 from McGonigal about Papadopoulos that ‘contained essentially that reporting, which then served as the basis for the opening of the case.’”
It was after McGonigal reported on the Papadopoulos rumor that anti-Trump FBI Director Jim Comey opened “Operation: Crossfire Hurricane” to target Trump.
And he did so despite the fact the FBI knew full well the entire Russia collusion hoax originated in the Hillary Clinton campaign as “a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors.”
It was pure and simple a dirty campaign tactic meant to try and stop Donald Trump by creating a scandal claiming election interference by Russian security services.
Until recently, the Russia collusion hoax was considered by many to be the greatest political crime in American history.
But Joe Biden’s alleged criminal enterprises may top even Hillary Clinton on that front.
That doesn’t make Hillary’s actions any less damaging and disgusting.
It’s time to hold her accountable for her crimes.
