Hillary Clinton can’t accept that Donald Trump beat both her and Kamala Harris.
She’s still nursing her wounded pride.
And Hillary Clinton made one outrageous suggestion that will have Donald Trump seeing red.
Hillary Clinton floats bizarre third-term conspiracy theory
Failed Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is back in the headlines with another wild claim about Donald Trump.
During an interview at New York’s 92nd Street Y with Margaret Hoover, Clinton suggested that Trump is secretly plotting to run for a third term as President.
Her conspiracy theory comes despite Trump recently telling NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he’s “not looking at” running for a constitutionally prohibited third term and wants to “turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican” after his current term.
“Listen to what Trump says,” Clinton stated. “He telegraphs everything. And often when he’s criticizing something, he’s criticizing them for what he’s already done or intends to do.”
Clinton then went off the deep end with her conspiracy theory.
“When he says, ‘You know there are people who think that it could happen,’ what he’s saying is he has people right now in these right-wing think tanks trying to figure out how to make it happen,” she added.
She claimed Trump has supporters who would help him circumvent the Constitution to stay in power.
“And he also has very militant supporters who believe that it should happen, so if it can’t happen legally, that is not an obstacle,” Clinton declared.
The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution clearly states that no person can be elected President more than twice.
Trump has already served one full term and is now serving his second term.
But Clinton doesn’t seem to care about constitutional facts or Trump’s own statements when she’s cooking up her latest anti-Trump narrative.
Despite Trump explicitly saying he doesn’t want to serve a third term and plans to step aside after his current presidency, Clinton continues to push baseless theories about secret plots and constitutional violations.
Clinton suggests Barack Obama and Bill Clinton should run for third terms
Clinton didn’t stop there with her constitutional meltdown.
She actually suggested that former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton should also run for third terms to “counter” Trump.
“I think you have to take all of it seriously,” Clinton said. “The best response might be for, you know, (former presidents) Barack (Obama) and Bill (Clinton) to run too.”
The crowd reportedly cheered at her suggestion.
“I mean, OK, take your choice! What do you want for a third term, people? If this is where we’re heading, we’re going to break the Constitution, give people a choice!” Clinton continued.
She even admitted how ridiculous her own suggestion sounded.
“I mean, this is so nuts, I feel embarrassed talking about it, but I think you have to face up to it,” Clinton said during the 92nd Street Y interview. “They are going to try to do that.”
Clinton’s wild theory ignores the basic fact that the Constitution prevents any President from serving more than two terms.
This applies to Trump, Obama, Bill Clinton, and every other former President who has already served two terms.
The 22nd Amendment doesn’t have loopholes or escape clauses that Clinton seems to think exist.
Democrats can’t move on from Trump Derangement Syndrome
Clinton’s latest outburst shows that Democrats still haven’t recovered from Trump’s historic comeback victory.
Instead of focusing on policy issues that matter to American families, Clinton is spinning conspiracy theories about constitutional violations that have no basis in reality.
Trump has repeatedly stated he has no intention of seeking a third term, telling NBC’s Kristen Welker in May that he’s “looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, a great Republican to carry it forward.”
“I’ll be an eight-year President, I’ll be a two-term President,” Trump said during the interview.
Trump decisively won the 2024 election by flipping multiple swing states and winning the popular vote.
American voters rejected the failed policies of the Biden-Harris administration and chose Trump’s America First agenda.
But Clinton and other Democrats refuse to accept the results and continue pushing unfounded theories about Trump’s supposed authoritarian ambitions.
Clinton’s suggestion that former Presidents should also violate the Constitution shows how unhinged the Democrat Party has become.
Rather than respect the democratic process and the Constitution, Clinton wants to tear down fundamental American institutions because she can’t stand that Trump won.
The American people saw through Clinton’s lies in 2016 when Trump defeated her.
They rejected her again in 2024 when they chose Trump over her preferred candidate, Kamala Harris.
Clinton’s latest conspiracy theory is just another desperate attempt to stay relevant in American politics.
But the American people have moved on from the Clinton era and embraced Trump’s vision for making America great again.
Clinton would be better served focusing on her own legacy rather than manufacturing conspiracy theories about Trump’s future political plans.
The Constitution will remain intact regardless of Clinton’s wild theories about third-term plots.
Trump will serve his second term and then step aside in 2029 as the Constitution requires.
No amount of conspiracy theories from bitter political opponents will change that fact.
