Rumors are circulating that Hillary Clinton is planning to run for President again in 2024.
She’s laying the groundwork by trying to take down Fox News.
But Hillary Clinton never expected Sean Hannity to respond this way to her threat against Fox News.
The Democrat Party base hates Fox News and would love to see the network taken off the air.
Hillary Clinton understands this.
And since the far-Left could be skeptical of her ties to Wall Street financiers who fund Democrat campaigns, Hillary Clinton knows the easiest way for her to unite the Party behind her is by attacking Fox News.
During Clinton’s recent speech to the New York State Democrat Party Convention, she threatened to sue Fox News over the coverage of John Durham’s latest court filing claiming Fox News lied about Clinton spying on the Trump campaign.
“Fox leads the charge with accusations against me, counting on their audience to fall for it again,” Clinton screeched. “And as an aside, they’re getting awfully close to actual malice in their attacks.”
Of course, Clinton intentionally used the phrase “actual malice.”
After a judge Clinton’s husband appointed threw out Sarah Palin’s defamation lawsuit against The New York Times in the midst of jury deliberations because Palin allegedly did not prove the Times acted with “actual malice,” the phrase became embedded in public consciousness.
But Sean Hannity had a field day ripping Hillary Clinton for threatening a lawsuit.
As Hannity pointed out, if Clinton sued Fox News, it would open the door for discovery, allowing the network to subpoena every record and communication from the Clinton campaign with vendors, the media, the FBI, and anyone else Fox News wanted to prove that her campaign spied on Trump.
“It’s called discovery and it’s called depositions,” Hannity stated. “Bring it on. Malice? Really? It’s called news. Hillary, we invite you to bring it on. It’s from a legal filing we quoted exactly from the filing that was put in federal court.”
Since the attorney’s advice in these cases is usually, “don’t sue, because they may prove it to be true,” Hillary Clinton will likely back down from her threats.
