In a recent interview with CNN International, Hillary Clinton slammed the Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade during the last term.
“In a democracy when things don’t go your way, when you suffer setbacks, you need to remember that there is no permanent political victory or defeat. You have to keep fighting for these fundamental rights. You have to try to enshrine them in law as best you can in our system, at both the federal and the state level. So we’ll see what happens in states like Arkansas and in so many other states when we face real world problems, as we have seen already seen where women with miscarriages go in for medical treatment are turned away and, God forbid, a woman dies because that health care is denied her,” Clinton began.
Clinton also rallied Democrats to stand up and fight to make abortion-on-demand up until the moment of birth the law of the land across America.
“I just believe that the fervor of the interests that are saying there should be absolutely no choice for women in half the states or more of our country will run right up against reality as it has in elections in Kansas, Kentucky, Montana, California, and Michigan where voters got to vote on these extreme measures or trying to prevent them from ever being imposed in their states. Right now, it’s obvious that the great majority of Americans believe the Supreme Court, local states, legislatures, etc. have gone way too far,” Clinton continued.
During the Midterm elections, abortion became the central focus of the Democrat Party’s messaging.
With the help of their mouthpieces in the left-wing press, Democrats convinced voters to deliver victories on ballot initiatives in Michigan and Kentucky.
Of course, the Democrat position of abortion up until birth with no restrictions is wildly unpopular with the American people.
But Republicans refused to even engage Democrats during the Midterms on the issue of abortion, which allowed leftists to define the terms of the debate for voters.
That’s why Clinton’s demand for Democrats to push for unrestricted abortion in Red states will not stop until the GOP stands up and fights back.
