Earlier this week, it was revealed that Donald Trump would face over a dozen indictments from Fulton County, Georgia, regarding the 2020 election.
Legal experts are still trying to get to the bottom of the indictments, but it almost goes without saying that Donald Trump is under tremendous pressure.
Never before has a former President, or a presidential candidate – and the leading candidate at that – faced such legal pressure.
Instead of giving a measured response to these troubling indictments, former Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took this opportunity to gloat in front of the nation.
Hillary Clinton appeared on MSNBC’s broadcast of the “Rachel Maddow Show” to express her delight regarding the recent indictments against Trump.
Clinton claimed, “The Republican Party needs to move away. Quit being part of a cult is what he meant. You follow someone who lies to you, undermines the legitimate processes of government. Move away from him politically and trying to get back to politics in the sense that we used to think we had it, despite all of the human frailties that accompanied it.”
She added, “I hope that we won’t have accountability just for Donald Trump and if there are others named in the indictments along with him for their behavior, but we will also have accountability for political party that has just thrown in with all of the lies and divisiveness and lack of any conscience about what was being done to the country.”
Almost immediately after her remarks, people were quick to call her out for hypocrisy, given her purported history when it comes to toeing the lines of legality.
Many political experts are also criticizing Hillary Clinton for what appears to be gloating, well before the trial has begun.
Regardless of what happens with these cases moving forward, these indictments will cause significant division within the country, which is nothing to gloat about.
Ever since she was humiliated by Donald Trump in 2016, Hillary Clinton has taken a step back from American politics.
Having said that, she seems to appear out of nowhere whenever America is divided the most, only to dump fuel on to the fire.
It seems as if Hillary Clinton cannot stay away from the spotlight or help herself when it comes to stirring up controversy.
Regardless of what happens in the ongoing Trump cases, most agree America will likely come out a more divided country as a result.
