Representative Lauren Boebert’s (R-CO) campaign just released a statement that has initiated a wave of panic amongst the slim House majority caucus.

The statement explained that the Congresswoman was rushed to a Colorado hospital after noticing abnormal swelling in her leg.

After checking in, she was immediately sent into emergency surgery.

Emergency surgery for Boebert after she developed a blood clot

Surgeons removed a blood clot that was causing the problem.

The statement included her receiving a diagnosis of May-Thurner Syndrome, which causes problems with blood flow.

“Yesterday afternoon, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert was admitted to UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland after experiencing severe swelling in her upper left leg,” reported her campaign’s statement.

“After undergoing a CT Scan, doctors found an acute blood clot and diagnosed her with May-Thurner Syndrome, which is a rare condition that disrupts blood flow. An exact cause is unknown, but dehydration, travel, and extended periods of sitting have all been identified as potential factors in causing symptoms of May-Thurner Syndrome,” continued the statement.

Boebert was seen thanking medical staff for their care, and ensured her constituents that she would be returning to Congress as soon as she could.

“I want to thank Dr. Rebecca Bade and the entire team at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies for their great care and providing helpful insight on my recent diagnosis,” shared Boebert. “I’m looking forward to making a full recovery and getting back to Congress to continue fighting for Colorado.”

Her surgeon hailed the procedure a success and explained how the situation would not prevent her from continuing her service in the House of Representatives.

“We successfully performed surgery on the Congresswoman this morning and expect her to make a full recovery,” declared Dr. Bade.

“Patients with May-Thurner Syndrome who undergo the procedure to restore blood flow are able to live and work just as they have in the past after a brief recovery,” reassured the doctor.

With a tough campaign to stay in Congress, health episode could impact her political future

Boebert is currently participating in a primary election that will replace Representative Ken Buck (R-CO), who is most known for his staunch anti-Trump positions.

RINO Congressman Buck thought he could pull a fast one by relying on a panel of Republicans to select his replacement in the upcoming special election taking place on June 25.

Buck’s strategy was to install a handpicked, pro-establishment Republican to take over his office for the foreseeable future.

But those plans crashed and burned after the panel selected the conservative Greg Lopez, who has since announced that he would only sit as a placeholder for the remainder of the term.

Lopez stated that he will not run again in November, and would step down to whoever wins in the November general election.

Since there will be no incumbent for her to run against in the Republican Primary, Boebert’s path to win the seat has opened widely.

Outgoing Representative Buck has increasingly shown his allegiance to the “swamp” in recent years, defending the weaponization of the judicial system against former President Donald Trump and voting against President Joe Biden’s impeachment.

But when Representative Boebert announced that she would be moving into his district to primary him out, he immediately resigned.

His fear of inevitably being humiliated in a primary initiated his early retirement, and created the preparation for a June special election.

Buck assumed that his local panel of Republicans would end up selecting someone that would hold the seat for the remainder of this year’s Congress and ultimately run for re-election in November.

His pipedream of claiming victory for knocking Boebert out of Congress has virtually collapsed, because there will no longer be a sitting member of Congress to put up a real fight against her in November.
