Ilhan Omar is one of the most aggressive Trump haters in America.
She started her national political career in 2018 by bashing the President during his first term.
But Ilhan Omar was just forced to make this one admission that has Donald Trump grinning from ear to ear.
Ihan Omar gives Donald Trump full credit for the Gaza ceasefire deal
Roughly 15 months following Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel, both sides finally agreed to a ceasefire deal.
Immediately after its announcement, which created a six-week long end of active hostilities, plus the immediate release of 30 hostages, Donald Trump celebrated the “epic” agreement which put his influence on foreign policy on full display – prior to him even taking office.
“This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies,” Trump announced in a recent post on his Truth Social platform.
Trump pointed out the gravity of the deal, and how it was extremely important to both Americans, as well as Israelis, that the Hamas-captured hostages would finally get to return home.
“I am thrilled American and Israeli hostages will be returning home to be reunited with their families and loved ones,” added President Trump.
Trump had recently warned Hamas that there would be “hell to pay” if they did not release the captives before he was inaugurated into office.
Trump continued in his Truth Social posts by comparing this ceasefire deal to his historic Abraham Accords, which were negotiated during his first term in office, and promised to America that there would be several more massive victories to come in the future.
“With this deal in place, my National Security team, through the efforts of Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, will continue to work closely with Israel and our Allies to make sure Gaza NEVER again becomes a terrorist safe haven,” he continued.
“We will continue promoting PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH throughout the region, as we build upon the momentum of this ceasefire to further expand the Historic Abraham Accords,” added Trump. “This is only the beginning of great things to come for America, and indeed, the World!”
After attempting to steal the credit for the deal, Joe Biden finally admitted that the accepted deal was the same one that has been on the table since May of last year.
But Ilhan Omar was well aware of the situation and admitted that it was Donald Trump – not the President from her own party – who deserved the credit for making the ceasefire deal truly come together.
“We knew that pressure applied by the United States would bring a ceasefire, and it’s just unfortunate that it was Trump’s pressure,” Omar admitted.
Foreign affairs professionals, also, did not hesitate to deliver the proper credit to Donald Trump.
Former diplomat from Israel, Alon Pinkas, recently appeared on CNN where he explained to Jake Tapper that it was Donald Trump’s election that delivered the proper pressure because both sides feared his unpredictability and how he would handle the situation once back in office.
“If you’re asking what the game changer was and what brought Netanyahu to say yes now after many months of resisting, it was the Donald Trump factor,” Pinkas explained.
“It’s not that Trump pressured him. It’s that he’s afraid of the unpredictability and transactionality that Trump is known for that caused him to say I better get on his good side now,” concluded the former Israeli diplomat.
