Jamaal Bowman issued an appalling three-word response to Daniel Penny’s acquittal that ignited national inferno

The country was enraptured by Alvin Bragg’s Daniel Penny witch hunt, and his acquittal has brought out some of the worst responses imaginable.

Recently defeated Congressman Jamaal Bowman is causing trouble yet again.

At least this time he’s not committing a crime that caused panic in a crowded federal building.

But Jamaal Bowman issued an appalling three-word response to Daniel Penny’s acquittal that ignited national inferno.

Using racism to try and remain relevant

Outgoing Congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) penned a “Dear White People” letter shortly after Marine Daniel Penny was acquitted in the subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely.

In that letter, he wrote:

Dear White People,

I don’t know why I feel the need to keep talking to you. I don’t know why part of me still has hope for you and for us. Some of you are too far gone. But maybe enough of you aren’t and will join us in fighting to end white supremacy.

— Rep. Jamaal Bowman Ed.D. (@JamaalBowmanNY) December 10, 2024

Bowman repeatedly attempted to say Penny’s acquittal was a consequence of white supremacy.

I wish I didn’t have to live with all of this trauma deep in my bones. I wish I could just be free to be me. I marvel at the beauty and greatness of my people in spite of white supremacy. It’s extraordinary. That is what I will continue to lean on.

Playing fast and loose with the facts

Bowman then added,

Jordan Neely is the latest. He was sick. He was not a threat. He was subdued. Still not a threat. Daniel Penny choked him for 6 minutes. And killed him. We all watched it on camera, and he was still acquitted.

— Rep. Jamaal Bowman Ed.D. (@JamaalBowmanNY) December 10, 2024

Bowman is, as usual, wrong here in more ways than one.

According to The New York Times, Jordan Neely was given free housing and healthcare at a treatment facility as part of a plea deal after punching an elderly woman back in 2021.

Neely abandoned the facility after less than two weeks.

And the fact is, Penny only intervened after Neely threatened passengers.

And despite the chokehold, police still found Neely’s pulse when they arrived, proving Penny didn’t kill him.

But Bowman could care less about facts and truth and added,

I am 48 years old and I have seen countless incidents of brutal police violence and killings in my lifetime. The first Black man I saw violently attacked on camera was Rodney King. Those officers were acquitted.

— Rep. Jamaal Bowman Ed.D. (@JamaalBowmanNY) December 10, 2024

Again Bowman is wrong, just two of the four officers involved in the Rodney King case were convicted.

Former officers Powell and Koon were acquitted on state charges but were convicted on federal charges and went to prison.

Bowman closed off his racist letter by bizarrely claiming the justice system failed Jordan Neely while lamenting that Penny and Kyle Rittenhouse are free.

RIP Jordan Neely. The justice system failed you. Kyle Ritenhouse and Daniel Penny are free. You’re gone. We must still fight.

When in doubt, double down

After getting blasted on social media, Bowman chose to respond with more racism, saying,

Seems like I hit a nerve. White people on X going crazy on this one. Must’ve been a lot of truth in what I posted.

— Rep. Jamaal Bowman Ed.D. (@JamaalBowmanNY) December 10, 2024

Bowman doubled down further on his racist rant by saying,

Wow. This has been so triggering for so many of you. Do you realize you’re actually proving my point? If you are that triggered by this, imagine how I must feel when Black people are murdered consistently and there is no Justice. Y’all can’t handle a tweet. Fascinating.

Bowman’s time is running out

In October of last year, Bowman pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor for purposefully setting off a false fire alarm in the “Old House Office Building” to stall an important vote to prevent a government shutdown.

At first, Bowman tried to deny his misdeed’s motivations by claiming that it was an accident.

But the security camera told the true tale.

The charge was later dropped in exchange for his guilty plea, a maximum fine of $1,000, and an apology letter to police.

To make matters worse for Bowman, the House of Representatives voted last December to censure him for the embarrassing incident.

And Bowman’s actions came back to haunt him even more when he became the first member of the Squad, a notorious progressive left-wing group within Congress, to be voted out of office.

With his final days in Congress rapidly approaching, Bowman is clearly still an angry man.
