Democrats watched Marjorie Taylor Greene quit Congress after Trump turned on her.
But one Democrat couldn't help herself.
And Jasmine Crockett said three words that left Marjorie Taylor Greene's allies speechless.
Crockett can't believe Greene folded after one week of Trump heat
Marjorie Taylor Greene announced Friday she's resigning from Congress effective January 5, citing threats and attacks from President Donald Trump after she broke with him over the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Greene spent years as Trump's most loyal defender on Capitol Hill before their spectacular falling out this month.
Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett watched Greene's announcement and had zero sympathy for her former rival.
"You've got to be kidding me," Crockett told CNN's Jake Tapper on State of the Union Sunday.¹

Crockett pointed out that Greene faced Trump's wrath for exactly seven days before throwing in the towel.
"You're on the other side of the president for one week, and you can't take the heat?" Crockett asked.²
The Texas firebrand then contrasted Greene's quick surrender with her own experience facing constant attacks from both Trump and his MAGA allies.
"Imagine what it is to sit in my shoes, to not only be on the opposite side of him, but to have people like her who are constantly fanning the flames of hate and imagine what those threats look like when you literally are someone like me," Crockett stated.³
Crockett noted that multiple other Republicans — including Representatives Thomas Massie and Lauren Boebert — also faced Trump's anger over supporting release of the Epstein files but didn't quit.
"He's upset with Thomas Massie, and so he's gone after him. He's upset with Boebert, he's upset with any Republican that actually signed the discharge petition," Crockett explained. "But somehow they were able to weather the storm. Why is everyone else able to stand and you can't?"⁴
The backstory behind two of Congress's biggest enemies
Crockett and Greene's relationship has been toxic for more than a year.
The two engaged in one of the most memorable confrontations in recent House history during a May 2024 Oversight Committee hearing.
Greene attacked Crockett during the late-night session by saying "I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you're reading."⁵
Crockett fired back moments later with a line that went viral across social media.
"If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody's bleach blonde bad built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?" Crockett asked committee chairman James Comer.⁶
The phrase became an instant sensation online, with multiple songs and memes created around it.
Crockett trademarked the insult and launched a "Crockett Clapback Collection" featuring t-shirts with the phrase.⁷
She told The View the merchandise raised money for Democrats to win back the House, not for personal gain.⁸
Despite their bitter feud, Crockett showed brief sympathy after Trump withdrew his endorsement of Greene earlier this month.
"I'm here for you girl … I told you not to trust him … all he cares about is HIMself (and protecting pedos) he never loved you," Crockett tweeted at the time.⁹

But that sympathy evaporated after Greene's resignation announcement.
Crockett now says she reached out to Greene's office about working together on member safety legislation after the Charlie Kirk assassination in September.
Greene never responded to the outreach, according to Crockett.¹⁰
Greene couldn't handle what Crockett deals with every single day
Greene's resignation followed Trump calling her a "traitor" after she pushed for release of the Epstein files and criticized his policies on Iran, Israel, and healthcare.¹¹
The Georgia Republican said she didn't want her district to "endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for."¹²
Trump responded Saturday by saying Greene quit because she faced "PLUMMETING Poll Numbers" and knew she couldn't win a primary against a Trump-backed challenger.¹³
"For some reason, primarily that I refused to return her never ending barrage of phone calls, Marjorie went BAD," Trump wrote on Truth Social.¹⁴

Crockett's criticism cut to the heart of Greene's decision — she folded under pressure that opposition lawmakers face constantly.
The Texas Democrat faces regular attacks and threats because she's on the opposite side of Trump and MAGA Republicans who "are constantly fanning the flames of hate."
Greene spent years dishing out those same attacks as one of Trump's most aggressive defenders.
But when Trump turned those weapons on her for just one week, she couldn't take it.
That's the definition of being able to dish it out but not being able to take it.
Crockett is weighing whether to challenge GOP Senator John Cornyn in Texas's 2026 Senate race.¹⁵
Recent polling shows she leads the Democratic primary field and runs competitively against Cornyn in head-to-head matchups.¹⁶
She told Tapper Sunday that she'll announce her decision this week.¹⁷
Greene's future remains uncertain after resigning before her term ends.
